      probably that charging IC will burn to ashes until you fully charge those batteries, even there is a possibility that many batteries will explode because the voltage and ohm ampere values in those batteries will not match each other, but sometimes if there is their own special bms inside the batteries, the battery will cut off the charge by itself without exploding, at most those 3 sister batteries. it will be good for you to use the mountain, let's be careful

    Hello Electronic help care! I love your videos! You should be a role model for all western countries! Do not always dispose of everything, repair it! There is a small group of people here in Germany who work like you. It's called a "repair cafe". Old devices will be repaired again! I think that's great and so do many other people who come to us. I am also an active member of the "repair cafe" and have already copied some of your great tricks! Thank you for all the videos, keep up the good work and be our role model! Many greetings from Germany! Patrik

    Great video, I'd just like to say that its a good idea to charge and check the voltages in each battery and only pair similar voltages together, the closer to 4.2v the better. I just built a battery pack with 6 18650's and each battery was between 4.10 and 4.15v, the charging board in the video is the same one that I'll get in the mail today and I'm going to wire them together tonight.

    That's a very dangerous work, cause you need a special bms circuit for that quantity of batteries (if you dont' have the good one, batteries can get overcharge and explode) also you need to recharge one by one of the batteries to have the same voltage and don't damage the others batteries when are all connected, and that wire solded between the 2 package of batteries must be selected according with the maximum current of the circuit.

    i cant tell if your resoldering the nickel back on to the cells but doing that could offset voltages and they could get hot explode or just stop working

  • @TheSpotify95
    @TheSpotify95 Před 5 lety +11

    Nice video and upgrade! Those fake powerbanks with sand cells are no good.
    Just a few points I'd mention:
    1) This isn't a 20,000mAh power bank. With 5 cells, this would be 4,000mAh per cell. The maximum on the market is 3500mAh by Sanyo or 3400mAh by Panasonic, both very expensive, not usually found in laptops. Most 18650s from laptops are 2200mAh - 2800mAh when new.
    2) It's not a good idea to just check for voltage and then solder together in a pack. You need to measure to at least 0.1V accuracy, preferably 0.01V or better. And you need to use a battery analyzer (e.g. a Turnigy Accucel or SkyRC iMax) to measure the capacity at a 1A discharge. Some laptop batteries are fine on voltage but hold very little capacity.
