Kim fish thanks Kim, i'm glad it's not just me !!! . iv'e been to a lot of gig's and concerts and to be honest 75% of the singers sound like crap when thay sing Live . nothing like thay sound on there CDs ? . but Ella's songs sounds the same, whether she's on a CD . live at a radio station , live at a gig , or at home on the kitchen table !!! , and that to me has made her somebody that is outstandingly honest vocally ,with lot's of variety and stands out so brightly amongst the others !!! Was watching the Train episode of Hollyoaks when Carmel died, this song was playing at the end & it really touched me. So beautiful :')
In my oppinion she is the best singer coming from a TV show... For me, she is even better than Leona Lewis.
Vocally, Ella Henderson has a beautiful and powerful voice, much like Adele, but Leona Lewis is technically better, although she is no songwriter. Ella Henderson is a superb singer-songwriter and is a great talent, she will probably be more successful than Leona Lewis, who, let's face it, has to rely on other songwriters to get a hit and she hasn't had a Bleeding Love in years.

Leona isn't a songwriter? Well she penned 2 of her 3 studio albums. And she's writing for her new one. Leona is an incredible talent. When it comes to Bleeding Love that was a monster track with monster sales! You record a song like that once maybe twice in your life. It's like I Will Always Love You for Whitney or Without You for Mariah Carey. Something that's really hard to get. Ella is great but only time will tell if she's capable of having at least half of Leona's success and sales.
Mark McKenzie I have yet to see Ella's debut smash Ghost selling millions, let alone it reaches the record sales Bleeding Love had. Where is she in the US though? Right, not even top 40. Your ignorance about Leona's songwriting skills made your post null and void.

Ella is a beautiful, talented superstar. You just knew that first time on XFactor that she was going to have a huge impact on the music scene. She has that cry in her voice like Adele, Patsy Cline, Emele Sande, emmylou Harris & Sarah Maclachlan. They write about what they know & experience and we (the public) have the privilege of listening to their stories. I hope she is strong enough to stay true to herself and not be spoiled by record producers or managers... Good luck for your future Ella.

Words can't describe how much emotion she puts into all her performances and how meaningful all her lyrics are. She still needs more recognition and credit for her music writing skills, compared to some of the crappy artists out there today. Yours deserves to be a #1.

Ella, I don't even know where to start. The lyrics are tender, the composition is intimate and your voice, your voice!! This is an absolutely gorgeous song, sung by likely the most gifted vocalist alive today! Two years (from 16 to 18) has simply elevated your vocal instrument from untouchable to exquisitely enchanting.
It is wonderful that such a grounded human being has developed such an incredibly unique gift to share with the world. There is simply no artistic talent today that matches all three aspects, the lyrics, composition and vocal instrument. Ella, you are the whole package, my dear. Beautiful as a woman (inside and out), songwriter, composer and light-years beyond any other vocalist with sounds and tones never expressed before.
I am going to listen again, Ella! There is so much more that I could point out as each phrase sung emotionally comes alive, with the deepest of feelings provoked.

Have listened to music since I was 3 years old - she has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard (and I'm 61 now!). If Ella went to USA and did a country tour - she would be the biggest selling country artist ever. Can't tell you how excited I am about her debut album @Chapter One@ - she'll be bigger than Adele in 2 years time. Wow!!
