Absolutely. Tied with millenial farmer for best content (Minnesota thing?). Everyone should tell their friends so we can get the Larsons 1m
Can't get over how enjoyable these are to watch. AND informative! Really like how Erik always gives us the rundown of what he is doing, and the specs of things, etc. Thank you everyone!
I LOVE Dougo's stories , make so much sense !!!
Grandad said same thing with gloves, except he added to put them palm to palm then finger first in pocket. Palms side are more greasy than back sides.
Chet knows when to leave Dougo alone and when it’s time to remain silent. Lol.
No doubt sewing your Gloves to the end of your Jacket sleeves with string is thee best way to keep track & store your Gloves. I still do it at 66 years of age.
Word to Dougo, don't go to bigger u-bolts, get a piece of flat iron, drill 2 holes, and use 2 grade 8 bolts with lock nuts and you won't have anymore break..
Glove talk by Dougo!! You are 100% correct. Or they go on the floor by the drivers doors so they only touch the floor board and you have them as soon as you get out.
You’re right Duggo! Gloves rolled with fingers in the back pocket. Also I was told to wrap my right hand glove over my left hand, being right handed. Then when you pull them out you don’t have to look which is which.
You will find that you are very much in the minority with doggo. If you even do a simple Google search on work gloves in Pockets roughly 90% of them are wrists in the pocket first not fingers
@@deannelson9565- 🤦🏻♀️
Yes, fingers, palms into the pocket. Didn't hear about grease or dirt. It was about the top of the glove coming out first, making for faster "gloving"
Yes of course hand of the glove in the pocket. I worked for 3 different Ford dealerships in the 70s and 80s in the service departments. Always protect to equipment seats.
We never put gloves in our pockets, mom had a fierce temper and knew how to swing a belt with the best of them. 😂
Open end of the gloves goes in your back pocket first. Just in case if it's raining or snowing. the inside of or gloves stay dry. 🚜
We were taught that we put them in your sweatshirt pocket to protect your pants pocket and equipment seats. Used to get beaten if I put gloves in my pants pocket.
Dougo you were trained correctly!
Dougo, Im almost 60 and I was trained as a young man to do it just like that, Palms in!!!
CONGRATS ON GETTING THE CROPS HARVESTED THIS YEAR
🔥right on dougo, that’s a killer old kw, pretty much bullet proof 👊🔥🔨⚙️🚜🌽
Dougo youre trained properly. Youre not alone
This channel has great narration by all the "STARS" !!
Chet, cutting corn planted in a lake has to be a first for YT Ag channels. LOL Another great vid guys, thanks.
Hey Douggo I put my gloves down somewhere and forget where I put them. Greasy seats and pants pockets are never a problem.
As wheat canola and barley farmers in Central Alberta I enjoy the heck out of your guys videos. Awesome job guys.
Your harvest videos are some of my favorites every year on here and on everyones on IG. Congratulations on finishing another year of harvest.
The only way I’ve ever seen it done fingers first
Thanks for another great video Chet. It was interesting.
Towards the end of harvest it is always more work it seems. Of course you have wet ground to deal with also. Oh my.
Sorry about you feeler heads being all bent up. Easy to do with wet ground. Should not take much time to put new ones on if the parts are available. Need grandma to do a parts run I guess.
Heard about how to do the gloves before Dougo. I was taught that way also. Really like your KW Dougo. Super nice truck. Seems to run very smooth.
Chet says you are working dryer problems. Sorry. Hope it is fixable. Hang in there with it Dougo.
Busy busy time trying to get harvest completed. Hang in there guys.
Thanks for everything Chet. You all take care and be safe. Thanks.
The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.
At the start of this video you walked by the diesel tanks p they look great😮😊
I think Dougo is right about the "kern" covering for the yard. Best to stick with the gravel. I totally understand about greedy humans. As a kid on rare occasions after church we would eat out at the buffet in town. Dad was always in a hurry to get there as quickly as possible. Mom would get after him for driving fast, and I can still hear him telling her we got to get there before the hoarders get it all.
Great video as always, my face hurts from smiling so much. ❤️🚜🇺🇸🤍🚜🇺🇸💙🚜🇺🇸
Always palms in the pocket, protect the 💺 seats. Uncle Ed taught us that on his dairy farm.
No. Dougo. Gloves don’t go in your back pocket!😂. I keep mine in the pickup door pocket 😂. Easy to grab on my way out
Doug, you are correct about the gloves. I've done that my whole life. Gary Miller
Praying for all of you. God will get you through this.
Glove fingers peeking over back pockets!
"cern covering" this is another priceless Dougo saying!
Good mix guys....like the change ups
Doug, I guess we are old school, about the gloves, it only took me once in my ' 83 chevy with cloth seats to figure that out. Old timers, what would you do without us.
As far as the gloves, I was trained the same way!
Doug is correct on the glove in pocket system
You have to stay upbeat under conditions like you are harvesting in. Not easy I know but you do a great job. Tell Dougo that I was taught the same thing about gloves going into your pockets, fingers first, no exceptions.
Palms in folded . The way to go .
Most folks of your generation don’t understand what a hard day’s work is! I really need to share y’all’s video with some of my coworkers better yet send them out to work with you guys. I helped out on my buddies dad farm back when I was in high school not even putting in the hours you do but it made me appreciate spending the rest of my life working in a lab for the past 35 plus years after graduating college. I’d saying 25 of them years required some long hard hours but I’m still appreciative.
Illinois farmers, we were taught to roll the gloves palms in the pocket. Still do this 55 years later.
Yes, I'm from northern Illinois and that is the way I have always put my gloves in my back pocket .
We were taught to put our gloves on the floor of the cab, on whatever we were operating.
22:00 - have to say; im always impressed with a man that knows his soil science. 👍
I was taught the same, palms in pockets. The grease or whatever will wash out of your pants easier than getting it off the upholstery.
I grew up with the same glove instruction as a kid!
When I was farming I always had two pair of gloves. A pair for greasing and all the gross stuff and a pair for "normal" dirt. The grease gloves never went in the pocket. Besides that I always still put them fingers out of the pocket because I don't what whatever crap I sit in "mostly fibreglass dust at work" inside my gloves. But I stopped having anything in my back pocket when sitting at a young age due to issues in my lower back.
always put the fingers in the pocket been doing it since i was 13 and still do it at 65.
Chet. Maybe suggestion. Get flags made with your color neon green you like. That green would be xtra easy too see also get the pole taller. The flags could have your Larson logo on them. Happy farming.
What a great deal for the Little Swede to not have to worry about equipment!! Keep him off the videos along with Dougo!!!
It's good to see Dougo doing more vids
Hopefully with all the moisture you got this year, it will help with spring planting
Our harvest always goes 1st week struggles. 2nd week smooth. 3rd week we come in on 1 wing and a prayer.
I guess if it was easy, everyone would be doing it. Great video.
On the tandem axle truck check the pin on the lift cylinders. I had a pin come out and that was it for the seed truck.
Great content ! nice seeing you guys work through the issues with such optimism and resolve...
Dougo is exactly right about the gloves in the pockets.
Well,Mango Bango it seems the struggle bus showed up with a couple of cousins in tow.
Bin problems, truck stuck in the field and a couple of Chet's snouts destroyed.
Tomorrow's another day and at least the Larson Farms crew is closing in on the end of harvest season.
Then it's crank it out cleaning tracks and fixing lots of issues with the equipment.
I hope they have a very profitable harvest.
Farmers deserve evey dollar they make.
I love Chet saying… dads attitude is quite poor!!! He doesn’t think he will record him!!! Well I am in agreement with Chet!!! Everyone is tired and ready for a BREAK!!! Wishing everyone a blessed week at Larsons Farm!!🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜
Kern covering.... That could be the next big thing!!
THANK YOU
Every year I feel the same way always limping to the finish line..carry on and God bless
Pioneer corn used to deliver to the dealers was my 2nd best job ever
First time for me about the glove storage
Gotta Love the mud, the boys up here put in a good day this weekend before we got more rain. They took off 5 quarters of corn Sunday. Roads are a mess now.
Doug, I usually wear my gloves on my hands, but mostly store them in my coat pocket. If I’m not wearing a coat, I’ll put wrist end in my front pocket. If I’m not carrying handkerchief I use wristband (cloth gloves) for that. It’s a farmer thing. I love your channel and the personalities.
Gloves in pocket is spot on…….
I remember my dad have a saying what can go can go wrong and I really enjoyed watching your videos.
Fingers in!
Well if the wheels are falling off the bus now, then when you pull into the field next year all the issues will be resolved. Was interested in how the late planted corn did, we replanted on June 23rd and it black layered so looking to harvest it next week. Hopefully it will be in the mid twenties.
Yes Doug fingers always go in response to your question. Exactly what I was always told too!
Palms in!!!🙂👍
Different topic! 🤪
Great video
its been an awsome harvest for some this year glad to see your harvest is almost completed i love the vids keep up the good content
yep you are right about the gloves Doug my grandfather said the same thing keep up the good work be safe god bless
I find it amusing that you talk about combining not harvesting when you drive a combined harvester.
Never thought of that, done it the other way.
Another great Video Boys, Keep up the Amazing Work !!!!
I always put the hole side of the glove in my pocket to keep my gloves from filling up with dirt and chaff
Thanks
Don’t complain getting 170 on July planted corn!
Dougo you are spot on with work glove edict. You always put the palms (aka dirty side of the gloves together) and fold in half and finger in pocket first. You are doing a fine job keeping the boys straight. Also Dougo my grandpa always taught me the the direction you in life is the direction the bill of your cap faces. Well you know what I mean.
I'm your age Dougo and I always put gloves in my pocket with the fingers out. Of course I always took gloves out of my back pocket before sitting down somewhere too.
Gloves on the dashboard! 🤪
I Have been watching your videos for 5 years now....
I love your harvest videos so fun watching them!
Awesome video Chet. Stay safe out and about. 🚜🚜🚜
Working in a paper mill I always put my gloves in fingers out, because if you put them in fingers in there was risk of getting all kinds of stuff that you don't want on your skin inside of your gloves
Gloves! Your way is the right way Dougo!
Can’t get over hiw enjoyable theses are to watch. Keep up the good work Larson Farms and keep it between the rows!
Dougo you guys should get one of those fancy new Case 715's.
Hands in first on gloves in pockets is how I was raised and i still do it that way
Fingers in the pocket, been a doiner that a way all my life, yes sir Dugo.
I grew up on a ranch, we always put fingers in first because gloves stay in pocket better then the other way!
Love that everyone got a turn with the camera this video .
You are correct on the gloves !! Always hand inside the pocket
Palms in the pocket here.
Dougo and i was taught the same thing on how to put your gloves in your pocket.
Fun harvest. Should be getting close to done!
Dougo - the Kern comment was a classic, you keep me laughing - you remind me a lot of some of my uncles who also harvested the land. Nice video
good am
BS are you and Brody are going to be at the Crary event in Fargo? I hope so I would enjoy meeting all you guys and Amy. Doug I never knew there was any other way to put them in your pocket.
Pioneer, technology that leans! Go Dougo!
Thanks and GOD BLESS 😀
