  • Since the revamp of the Glyph system in Naraka, many players don’t know which Talents to pick. This video will help you find a good build for any character, game mode or play style. Many heroes use the same Glyph page, so this video is structured by Glyph pages, not by individual characters.

    I would like to add that test results of +1000 luck (600 total gold chests opened) showed that you get golden loot roughly 25% more often than without it. I think it's alright but I would rather count on 20% damage reduction. I'd also like to add that the purple damage reduction glyph ONLY applies to the first hit of an attack you take while in that focus state, and it doesn't even apply to attacks that break your focus state, making it a completely garbage glyph compared to the final red glyph.

    Tip: Wuchen and Shayol aren't the only 2 characters for which the big red Damage Reduction node (20% for 10 seconds after using ultimate) isn't good. For example, Valda is very hard to kill in her ult and when Viper uses V1 or V2, the most common enemy reaction is to run away and break line of sight. If you like the big red Damage Reduction node, think about whether it's good for the character you're playing. Try to picture what your enemy will do when you ult and decide based on that. Taking the first purple Damage Reduction node (10% while in focus) or the first blue Luck is a little more straightforward.

    This is a nice guide as it explains all the stuff that you should use and what you shouldn't use, but I have an objection for Wuchen. Since he is typically a hero that ults as a last resort I don't think that he needs much rage and since his F is a combo breaker it allows him to get enough space without having extra stamina etc. So I personally think that personally for him it would be better if he would run all of the blue side of the glyphs (both coins and luck) as it would allow his team to scale REALLY fast which would allow to pick up eliminations on enemies that might not believe in luck. Then for the sake of actually having your ult you could use your remaining skill points on the main red and either the rage damage done or activate the first purple for a bit more survivability. (Though this might be weird as we still don't know the numbers of luck as you said in the video it most certainly helps overall, though I can't say the exact amount because I don't have any data to prove the numbers myself).

      in nbpl, many viper comps pick grappling distance on all characters because it allows you to grapple out after wuchen tp. that's why no energy on wuchen is pretty rare, as far as i'm aware. but if it works for you, why not
      edit: oh you want to cut rage on wuchen, didn't understand that on the first read. not sure about that one, many viper teams won't fight if they don't have TP up, unless they are re-engaging with 2 ults against 1 or 0 after wuchen TP'd out on the first engage. with reduced rage on wuchen, you'd pass up on some kill opportunities, whenever you run into a team or third party situation and you can't fight it because you're missing TP. this can be partially mitigated by running wuchen on firefly map, but i'm not sure if going for less rage is a good idea

      Use generic or if you play v3, use a rage heavy build like Tessa or zai

      @@Penemue would you use the big red one or the blue start ? i mean does the damage reduction proc after yoto ult ends?

    • @Penemue
      @Penemue  Před 11 dny

      The damage reduction activates when you press V, not after your V is over. I'd go blue
