- Driving The Toyota Raize G on the Highway! [Drive Review]
The 2022 Toyota Raize G does not have a turbo engine, so we wonder if it can drive fast on the highway. The 2022 Toyota Raize G is also the first Toyota to be equipped with the DCVT transmission, which I also wanted to test out. In this Filipino car review, I take the 2022 Toyota Raize G out for a drive on the highway to see if it can go up to triple digit speeds. The result? The 2022 Toyota Raize G can do it, but it takes time to build up speed. The DCVT transmission makes loud engine noises but does not translate to speed. There is a noticeable delay in the 2022 Toyota Raize G as the transmission struggles to catch up to throttle input. The 2022 Toyota Raize G is tuned more for city driving, hence the torque is accessible in the low end, but loses its breath in the top end. The 2022 Toyota Raize turbo would likely have the same performance, despite the turbo, since power delivery boils down to the transmission tuning. The all-new Toyota Avanza also has the same transmission, so it should do well pulling at low speeds but would have a hard time building up speed at the top end.

Nice review sir. For someone who has been watching your videos, I could say this is the most objective, if not most honest review I've seen. You may not have said it but this car is best for urban, intercity trips, not for those planning to buy this and criss cross SLEX - NLEX.. Like I do. 😂

I haven't driven the Raize turbo yet, but the Raize G is slower than the MG ZS. The MG ZS Trophy is much faster than any Raize.

Been contemplating w/c one to get between Raize E CVT and Honda City S CVT. Your disappointed reaction with the acceleration kinda gave me a big push towards the City. Lol

@@corolla9545 w/ the gas prices up, I want a fuel efficient car but I also want a car with speed up to my liking. Just got my City 2 days ago and I don't regret a bit. I got both the speed and fuel efficiency I want in one car 💙

The Tiggo 2 Pro felt really comfortable. I hadn't had enough seat time in the Raize to comment.

Pretty similar, though brio felt a tad bit faster

Would you say it's underpowered? It's just the two of you in the car plus a few light equipment, I presume. But it could also be the "very linear" power delivery nature of a CVT.
Also, a bit "noisy" at slow traffic? Interesting. The seats, however, as Caco put it, is very comfortable. What's your experience with that, bro?

I think this is the most honest driving experience review though. Same with Ramon Bautista's review. But Regan is definitely disappointed with the acceleration. 🥲 But hey, if you dont do resing resing in the highway this car will serve you well.
