Thought id give some context, tenor actually has OCD and growing up in a christian household he thought that the "Voices" from the OCD telling him this stuff was actually god talking to him.

Never had the weird compulsions of "something bad will happen if I don't do something ridiculous" like in the video but the door locking and needing to be shut perfectly,, everything I put down needing to not touch something else, searching for balance (if someone touched me on the right shoulder, I also requested to be touched on the left shoulder) aswell as the awful stuff like intrusive violent thoughts... thank god for the meds.
Nick never been diagnosed but I definitely had real compulsive behavior as a kid, and still do occasionally, like having to touch something just right or having this weird spasm and landing on my heels. or repeating a phrase over and over hard to explain, but it's exhausting sometimes. I grew up Christian, so I definitely appreciate the moral attachment to "having to" do these things. I still have my faith.

I was just listening to a podcast (You Made It Weird with Pete Holmes) that Trevor Moore came on. He didn't explicitly state it, but yes, this is about OCD. Around the age of 13 he started getting these irrational ideas in his head from a voice that told him these sorts of things. He was religious at the time and there were certain points where he thought it was God, or that it was something else, or some higher power. This song's pretty deep in all honesty.
I can speak from experience that growing up as a Christian with OCD is hell. It's already bad enough on its own, but the idea that god is telling you to do these things makes it 10 times worse.

When I was a kid and I'd to certain things, I thought the devil was talking to me and told me if I didnt do it right he'd have my soul. I had the worst mix of all. I believed (and still do, really) that if I believe that everything will turn out alright, it is guaranteed NOT to, and the worst possible thing will happen. So I always tie myself in knots of terror going the "parade of horribles" until I'm sick. Problem is, I also belived that if I DO believe the worst possible thing will happen, it will, so In my mind I'm doomed either way. When things are good and calm, you're overdo for a disaster, and when a disaster has just occured, you're overdue for another, even bigger one, since the disaster you are REALLY overdue for is the one you CAN'T survive, the one that utterly destroys you and everything you care about, and there is Nothing you can do about it.

I need to comment in my own comment, I found out that I have something else a little worse then OCD but this song still goes along with it.
Doubt it. Most of you people go around throwing the word OCD willy nilly, like you can just diagnose yourself with it just because you like things to be a certain way, or need things clean, or some other stupid shit. OCD isn't always the stereotype seen in films & shows, and honestly, sick of it. x_x
Space Octopus Ya lots of people I noticed say "omg my OCD is acting up". I think they use it as more of an explanation for their being really picky and cleanly. I went to a doctor for a diagnosis though :P

I had the worst mix of all. I believed (and still do, really) that if I believe that everything will turn out alright, it is guaranteed NOT to, and the worst possible thing will happen. So I always tie myself in knots of terror going the "parade of horribles" until I'm sick. Problem is, I also belived that if I DO believe the worst possible thing will happen, it will, so In my mind I'm doomed either way. When things are good and calm, you're overdo for a disaster, and when a disaster has just occured, you're overdue for another, even bigger one, since the disaster you are REALLY overdue for is the one you CAN'T survive, the one that utterly destroys you and everything you care about, and there is Nothing you can do about it.
