  • Providing clean water for your cattle is one of the most important things you can do as a grazier. Animal production is improved by providing this important resource. For cattle watered from a well or city water, the Megaflow float valve provides a trouble free solution to providing water on demand.
    I am not affiliated with Megaflow Float Valve company and am not receiving remuneration for this endorsement. This is a product that I have found works the best for my operation.

    I've got a similar setup, with a like-sized tank and herd. I've had my herd empty the tank on a hot day and dump it on its side, leaving me with a swamp. I strapped mine to a 4x4 pallet to make it tip-proof. It's not great solution, but is effective. Driving some fiberglass posts in on each side might also work.

    Great video Cliff. You are cranking out the videos! Very informative. I’m a big fan. We are located in North Texas and raise cattle and pecans.

    This is excellent thank you. Does it matter if the water outlet faces up? TIA

    Good video with actionable information. I love those valves. I use tire tanks with the same valves. One thing that I do differently is to switch out the string on the valve with some lightweight galvanized wire. If I want to raise or lower the float for any reason I’ve found that I can move it in more precise increments with the wire VS the string. Good looking herd! What breed?

    Cliff, Why wouldn’t you want to screw the female end of the washing machine hose directly to the male end of the Jobe valve vs. adding a double female coupler? Thank you in advance for your reply.

    Hi cliff I just installed my megaflow valves, I purchased mine on amazon and my product did not have the bulkhead screw on adapter or the oring I purchased those from Kencove, did your valves come with them in the box?? BWT thanks for the tutorial.

      The valves I purchased did not come with the adapter either. I had to buy it separately. Thanks for watching. That was my first video. It was a bit rough 🥵

    How do you drain tub? I’m looking to get a Rubbermaid tub. It has a drain hole where I want to put the float. I don’t want to put another hole in. Can you drain without taking out float every time?

    • @cliffhonnasregenerativerancher
      @cliffhonnasregenerativerancher  Před 2 lety

      The trough I used had a separate threaded drain plug at the end of the trough. The only way to drain it without the drain plug is to tip it over, siphon it out, or pull out the Megaflow float valve.

      Hi Jamie. How did that work with the rubbermaid tub. I just got an 1.25" megaflow valve. I wanted to do the same thing. It seems the clearance is limited and i may have to drill a new hole.
