To future folk looking for the Petzl Protector for Vizir: the accessory was taken off the market, seemingly in 2023, because it broke incredibly easily with moderate use. Apparently it takes two or more years to bring a replacement to market. Thus, if a visor on your helmet is mandatory, I recommend looking elsewhere until they sort it out. I've taken rather good care of mine and only a week in, I can tell mine will be scratched up in no time. The protector is 100% a must. Also, the connector for the Vizir is a plastic ring that you press a button to open up, and then it squeezes back into place. I believe this was in order to give it an electrical rating. However, I have serious longevity concerns regarding that connector. One side, right out of the box, has never held. 1/4 of the time, when I raise or lower it, it just pops out and I find myself always checking to see if it's in place. When it's out, it's a real hazard, when machines the size of skyscrapers are moving around.
I can’t find the visor protector. Not sure if they stopped making them but if you know where I can find one please send me a link 🙏
Lo conseguiste?
