They've received plenty of serious offers, they aren't gonna get any unreasonable offers that they are looking for to jump start their franchise. No one is looking to help the Patriots in that way. As a Vikings fan, please stand pat, draft a QB that you will damage irreversibly and set your organization back another 4 years.

Brady was the last franchise QB who has yet to be replaced, it's totally fine to phrase it that way. It's not replacing the position on the roster it's finally replacing the last guy who knew how to play. Having a job in the NFL doesn't mean you already achieved that. They're talking about replacing him as the guy who wins games in NE.

I think this is the real issue the Patriots face here. Moving on from Belichick needed to be the symbolic break with the past and the start of something unique.
The Jets drafted Richard Todd because they thought he'd be Namath II. Both went to Alabama. Drafting McCarthy because he is another Michigan guy is like history repeating itself.
Actually, I'd suggest you get with reality. People will compare every NE QB to Tom Brady for the next 30 years. Miami fans are still looking for the next Dan Marino, who played in the last century. If you don't understand these basic concepts, you probably should refrain from sad attempts at potshots in a youtube comment section that no one from NBC reads.

What's more difficult to find in later rounds: A qb, or every other position?
Makes no sense to trade down having one QB prospect of huge talent waiting for you just because you need OL and WR.
You can find a great WR in the second round, or next season. You can trade for one proven already. You can find a OL in the second round, or if you pick #15 next season. This is not a one year rebuild.
You can also find a QB next year

Minnesota simply doesn't have high enough 1st round draft picks (11,23) to trade up to NE at 1/3. Example: Minnesota's 1/11, 1/23, Christian Darrisaw, and their 2025 1st rounder is STILL NOT ENOUGH FOR THE 1/3 PICK, in a draft that has 3 exceptional QB's. Why? NE has no certainty in trading back up and getting J.J. McCarthy. And don't bring up Michael "100% chance I tear my ACL" Penix with every NFL team copying Michigan's defensive plan against Penix. Start and stop, side to side movements in the pocket guarantee Penix injures his ACL. It's not a IF, it's a WHEN!!!

When you don't have a choice, yes you pick the Quarterback. We are definitely not winning any Superbowls with Jakobi Birsett. Maye can play. You surround him with good coaching. Work on his running mechanics and Throwing Mechanics. By next season you'll be winning the Division. That's a start.
I honestly think the Bears are a wild card with the 9 pick for a trade.

Probably similar to Will Levis, Carson Wentz, Zach Wilson... Its a crap shoot. Coaching staff is equally important as the qb you pick. Idc what anyone says, Mahomes wouldn't be Mahomes if the Jets drafted him. Certain coaches maximize qb talent. Reid, McVay, Shanahan, McConnell, etc. If Mahomes gets drafted by Louie Smith he's a bust

The search for the magic quarterback continues... You need a good QB, but it's a team sport - you need a lot of other people too. I don't know but does NE need OL? Because this is supposed to be a big year for them. If a potential 15 year starter HOF type OL is available they could do worse... Just sayin'...
