    Can we call API with service name "SHOPPING-SERVICE" from postman as well which is already registered on Eureka server?

    I have one question. To invoke shopping service through postman, we used endpoint url with shopping service port. Can't we use registered name SHOPPING-SERVICE to invoke, so that I don't need to know port no of shopping service?

    Amazon shopping (client) is necessary to register in Eureka server? If we can't register it is not possible to call Payment service?

      No in cloud infrastructure this service registry concept will be handled by kubernetes using sidecar pattern

    Once again. Super content bro. But I've read that we can give server.port=0 to clients where in they will take all random port numbers. But to access the clients endpoints can we access them through Eureka server? If so how?

    so Eureka Server is a service for registering 'Service name' and Port of service.

    Both my services are registered in Eureka Server but I am not getting why, it is showing 404 when I run the service in postman. Can you please help?

      Check the URL , 404 is specific to URL mismatch option

      it is because of your package outside the main class....so componentscanning is not happening properly, Just use @ComponentScan(basePackages = {"com.example.controller"}) in your main class

      Application.yml strictly validate hierarchy if any whitespace there it will throw exception

    how multiple service interacting with each other like payment services is there and one more online banking services is there then how is possible bcz these two services are independent

      Yes all services are independent here and the communication happened with the help of rest template .
      If you observe in tutorial we used rest API call with the help of Service name which registered in Eureka

    Hi Basant - Do you know why Eureka server will redirect to 8080 by default even if i have 8761 in my application.yml?

      No it shouldn't redirect even though we didn't specify I believe it will be up on default port which is 8761

      @@Javatechie ok will do. Also both the server and payment service need to run together in the same eclipse, when i run the client while an already running server i get connection refused. Eclipse should allow both microservices to run in same session correct? no need to open another eclipse session to run the client

    payment-service -> fetchRegistry: false
    amazon-shopping -> registerWithEureka: false
    is possible without breaking anything.
