ABOUT THE EPISODE
First Aid Kit have some wonderful live performances out there on the internet. So we were very excited to see what they'd do for us. Their simple guitar sound and stunning harmonies would bounce off those cobblestones like nothing else.
As we were preparing for the shoot, hoping the rain wouldn't get any heavier, we noticed a horse and cart go by. Hmmmm.... What a great way to pick up the band. Ty chased the cabby and brokered a stellar deal for the one block of transport we needed. We always travel like this of course.
By the time we'd finished sound check we knew it was going to be a special episode. Those voices. Wow. And a little crowd had already gathered behind the cameras, which always adds a welcome pressure and buzz.
Roll cameras. Action. Such beautiful sound and pictures. Wait. No. It's really starting to rain. Damn, that's a great idea Melany. Yeah, give her the umbrella, ask her mum if its ok. I hope this works out.
It did. It really really did.

The little girl gave them the umbrella because she knew that God would cry after hearing the songs of his wonderful creation. This is an awesome song ! I love these two artists; wonderful composers.
"She was just standing there, holding the umberella, wanting you take it"
"Haha yeah I didn't get the hint!"
"She was like 'Would you just take the fucking umberella', haha"
"Haha what a little girl.."
Quick translation huhu. Love these two. The way the sound bounces off the walls in the beginning? Porn.
Simon & Garfunkel reincarnate, newer, better. You two have an amazing vocal compliment ability I have not heard since the duo's earlier years. I hope you can keep it up and let us enjoy your magical harmony. Kudos to both of you.
It's absolutely amazing that this is not a chart topping country song! what are people listening to? This is awesome!!
wow... their voices are from heaven.
They look so 70's :) I love it
tears in my eyes within the first 10 seconds of music.
So sweet and innocent. Heartfelt, too. They sound and look as if they crash-landed on their time travels from the era of Mamas & the Papas and Joan Baez.
Absolutely wonderful... every time I hear them I can't believe voices that beautiful exist, and then I can't believe that they aren't everyone's favorite band!
Best live version I have ever heard. And I'm not joking.
God this is so beautiful. I’d probably cry if i ever see them performing live. So so beautiful.
Two classic voices, matched perfectly together, it's just magic, like heaven. Went to a live performance in Rotterdam, in a church. I absolutely loved their vocals and their music and I definitely recommend you to go to their perfomances!
this is so cute! They were talented and skilled from such a young age. Love these women! Love watching them grow and grow and grow and blossum.
I love it when Klara hits those high notes.
Singing between and surrounded by buildings has great acoustics. I sing every time I go to Atlanta.
So many years later and I'm still a total fan! Love you girls! Good hearts, great people!
Same here. Great music, great voices.
I love the sound of them speaking Swedish. They should use their native language in a song sometime.
Listening to these girls is a part of my daily ritual. The soothing Johanna, the power in Klara's voice... it's a perfect harmony. Food for the soul.
One of my favourite numbers by FAC back when they had a lovely raw edge.
Incredible divine talent almost like they don't know it..
Greetings from Dublin Ireland much respected here
Our two angelic sisters ❤❤ First Aid Kit
These two have a direct line to God, angelic voices making my hairs stand on end. Thank you for your amazing, timeless contribution to music. That includes you Sideshowalley!
1:18 Klara rolls her eyes at Johanna. This is what she was saying:
"Wow! The acoustics in this location are awesome!!!"
Sweden is packed with talent.
actualy whole skandinavia including iceland have so good artists
Must be the LINGONBERRIES
Congratulations Suécia!
Benj. Evans - Main reason I go to IKEA- I drain the Lingon berry drink. Eventually I just bend backwards and press on the tap... surprised I have been on a freak out video... guess people understand how good it is.
@@BenjEvans Naah...the norwegian lingonberries (called tyttebær) would be better if it wasnt for the geoeng-shit raining down on them...
They are so beautiful, I can't believe it...
She has such a classic voice.. I love it.
These girls are so talented. Stoked for Stay Gold to drop 6/10.
As a Richard, I must say I'm very honored to have a song named after me
This unassuming backstreet obviously has the most amazing acoustics. So do First Aid Kit.
Maybe its the mic.
Nothing that nice at all. They both were wearing the lapel mics that come in the Sennheiser G3 wireless kit, going into a Zoom H4n. There is a shotgun to pic up the world ambience too. (SideshowAlley)
Just think about it; hearing these voices in an alley.
Wow - these young women are a treat to listen to. Simply lovely.
they sound like angels!
Their strange voices matches so well together! I love it! It's like a magical feeling.
Klara and Johanna are amazing singers. I really liked how they arrived by the carriage and the umbrella scene.... This is one of my favorite of their harmonies.
HARMONIES EXCEPTIONAL
Most beautiful voices I've ever had the pleasure of hearing
It's so heavenly!
You girls are so awesome....... :) love the birds chirping in this one
Natural talent! Beautiful!
Of course, the umbrella helped to contain the amazing acoustics of that back street. It was nice to get a before and after: to hear their vocals rise and bounce off those buildings, then to hear their vocals solidify after.
Inspirational, heart-lifting and the power to set your soul on fire! Two very talented Swedish girls...
"Hon sto' där å ba 'ta paraply't föfan.' "
Yep, they are the real thing.....So refreshing!
When the little girl came with the umbrella and they smiled so big :) They're so cool.
Man this is just wonderful...
What lovely, wholehearted young women xx
Both of these girls have such strong and amazing voices, I'm pretty sure they could create that reverb by being in an alley... I've seen them sing live in a huge venue and they really needed very little, their voices give you shivers, so perfect!
absolutely amazing. The finest First Aid Kit offering online. Award worthy!
GOOSEBUMPS. GOOSEBUMPS EVERYWHERE.
Harmony - sometimes the two is so much greater than the one - and each one is so good. Together they produce a "joyful sound" -
this should literally have 10000 times more views
A stunning performance and the sound! Wow! They should record all their songs in that alley.
Don't you just wanna cry hearing the sound of two angels when you are walking on the street like that?
Just beautiful. I hope to see them live here in Minnesota.
God, their harmonies are angelic
it's absolutely beautiful
this is so beautiful are they even real???????
chills... so beautiful that I can listen to this all day!
WONDERFUL thanks a lot Sideshow Alley !!

Amazing talent on both sides of the lens. Thank you so much for this wonderful recording!
Just love these girls and especially this song. What a great space to sing and film in. Thank you to everyone involved! Will spread the word for sure! [A fan in Wandiligong]
Amazingly !!!
❤ You sisters!!!
I can't believe these sisters they are amazing.
This is exquisitely beautiful, you are very talented, and your music gives me goose bumps - in a good way! You know you have talent when you don't have to drown out your own voice with loud music.
Both of their voices are amazing, such talented young girls!
I cried when i saw that little girl give you her umbrella..... Your music is so moving
Hearing both of you makes me feel this world is not so bad finally ^^
Such powerful voices! They both look so young!
This is heaven. Gosh I love this so much. Imagine living in that alley and waking up hearing them singing in the background. Saw them live, they're beautiful and perfectly harmonized together.
It must be an amazing feeling to just sing this for everyone to hear. Love it!
Both of you have wonderful strong voices. With such strong voices, each of you could easily go on to solo careers...great voices!
Beautiful!
Wonderful song!
Thank you for this. commentary that makes it clear how much talent is going on here!
Magical moments - this is beautiful. ( But they walked away with the little girl's umbrella!)
not bad, not bad... really like them! wonderful♥
Magical, beautiful melodies. Plugged my non-branded headphones in and enjoyed. Will do this again.
On behalf of all the Richards out there, thank you for this beautiful song you two are amazing. Now it is time for me to let go....
What I like most is their spontaneous talk, after the song, in swedish. "She just stood there and tried to tell you "Here´s the umbrella"" "Yeah, I know! And I didnt get the hint..." "She just stood there like "Take the umbrella god damn it!" haha
Lovely harmonies. Makes me want to go to a folk club and wear an arran pullover :-)
The sound! Love it!!!
Again these two surprise me. Such a wonderful effort.
Don't have any words for this, this is simply amazing. Two beautiful voices together, this is my heaven on earth.
@SideshowAlleyTV
Good music is an understatment! I love First Aid Kit anyway but the recording is amazing! Thank you so much for all the effort you have so obviously put in. This sounds like a studio recording!
Magic
lovely lovely lovely
Gorgeous voices ! :D
What a wonderful thing you have going! Keep up the good work, and a big hand for keeping all the charm and honesty that these girls possess preserved for us to recall. If my songs ever become cool, I hope to come play in your alley.
Was I the only one who was surprised when they started speaking Swedish in the end? Judging by their english and my lack of knowledge about them I thought they were American.
Beautiful! Such talent :)))
