  • In this video I go over the few Half Face Blades I own and what I use them for. (Will use them for). The size of the blade and it’s shape primarily have control of this. I hope this video helps someone figure out what hey want exactly before they drop $450 on a blade! They are worth every penny.

Thanks!!! This really helped me with differing between them. And also helped me lean towards the disaster breach junior.

I just picked up a Disaster breacher Jr off of Ebay. Thanks for telling me to check Ebay on another video. I am ready to start carrying it regularly and it arrived shaving sharp

Man the disaster jr might be for me. I like the size of the gulo gulo but don’t look like a great knife for skinning/outdoors stuff. But I love the size on it for horizontal carry. I’m also looking at the crow scout jr. I just want something I can have on me when I know the microtech won’t do. But I used my microtech to carve up some wood for a fire lol.

What would you suggest to sharpen the disaster jr with? Mine doesn’t seem to stay sharp very long which is weird. To the touch it doesn’t seem sharp but cuts well, I typically use a two sided whetstone and when on the run I’ll use the lansky quick sharpener. Is there an angle I’m not getting correctly or is there a point in the right direction on what I should do? It’s strange bc I have a cheaper kershaw blade and that thing feels razor sharp and keeps it that way for quite a while

      Great question!
So let me say, the best way I can recommend you go about getting your knife a razor sharp edge is to email the shop and let them know you would like to ship it to the for a sharpening.
True, it may take a bit longer, but they will do it correctly and quickly. The last thing you wanna do it do something to the blade that could void the warranty.
If you don’t want to send it in, then I would recommend a Wicked Edge, but that’s at your own discretion! Also, ask the shop about sharpening angle for the D-Jr.
      Thanks for the question!

How about the ryu, would that be more self defense?

Check out my ryu review! That’s a great edc, self defense and general usage blade!

JMHO but I like a little bigger knife. I would go with the full size Disaster Breacher over the Breacher Jr.
