As someone who’s been in guard only 2 years I’ve never once touched my rifle. I was too scared of even spinning it. This definitely helped me find the confidence to finally pick it up. Haven’t mastered it yet, but I’m getting there!! Thank you!! 💕

I was curious about rifle since I never got to do it in high school. There is no way I would've been able to do this haha. I broke my nose doing a J toss I hate to imagine what kind of damage my face would've taken with a rifle.

Hi, yes you technically could. Ideally you would want to increase in counting numbers as you toss higher.
I’m not sure if you’re reading this or not, but I was wondering, since I just got a rifle about a week ago and have been in Guard about 4 years only really knowing flag, is there a smaller toss for a rifle, similar to a pop toss for a flag? Or does it go straight into a single?
Hi, yes there is. You can do a prayer/pop toss just like you do on flag in the same way. Actually many tosses on flag you can do on rifle, it just feels different because it is a different equipment. Try it out, see what tosses you can also make happen on rifle.
Does it matter when you start which way the butt is? Because I see people starting left and right
Depends on what your instructor wants. There will be left and right tosses but usually left tosses (the butt of the rifle is in your right hand)

How do you get it to spin so fast??
It has to do with the squeeze. The quicker you release the tension in our hand, the faster the rifle will revolve.

Actually there are many different ways to toss on rifle, this is just one of those ways with technique.
