We thought we'd show some value options too, as we've been featuring a lot of fine dining. Time to make some pierogi!
I never got to one of those places on my trip. That will be a must do next time. Nicely done. Good to see you both are looking good & enjoying the cuisine again. The cutlet dish looks to die for. All the best Polish food at that price that's insane. Can't wait.

Despite tourist Soviet era attraction , Nowa Huta has many low income people living there. This bar Centralny is cooking daily subsidised food for Kraków Social Services customers. After Communist regime collapsed many tenamant buildings in Kraków- privatised. Then changed in to hotels and acomoddation for tourist. Cracovians who were evicted were given replacements -deal flats in Nowa Huta , so Huta become housing lower income and a pensioner place . We all had our favorite Milk bars. Mine was called Flisak belonging to Jubilat on Kościuszki Street. My second fave was in rynek Podgórski ( now moved to Celna Str). They did the best PASZTETY BAROWE !! It was a krokiet but filling was : chopped hard boiled egg mixed with a bechamel sauce.
Ah yes, when I was in school I ate in one of those alot. Simple polish kitchen for cheap. I remember paying something around 10 - 15 zloty for lunch (kompot, soup and the main course). A true post soviet era dinner. But it was more hardcore back in the communism time. If you want to know what I mean check "Miś - Bar mleczny Apis" on youtube :D
I was wondering when we were going to see you guys visiting one of the milk bars. I've never been to one myself, but I'm planning on checking one out (or more😉) when I travel to Poland.
I was in there a couple weeks ago just to look around but didn't eat. What were those yellow things on your plate that looked like scrambled eggs? What was the pink drink? When I go back, I'm gonna eat something for sure.

Went there last time I was in Krakow , it's too budget it's very very old school.
