    Cool build it is similar to the original build but still different in a good way. Lego needs to make some half baseplates sizes modular buildings to sell they looks great 😊

    • @ridzbricks
      @ridzbricks  Před 2 měsíci

      Absolutely agree with that. They would do so well. It’s actually my preferred size because they don’t use a ton of pieces

    • @pinobluevogel6458
      @pinobluevogel6458 Před 2 měsíci +1

      Having small modular buildings would be a great idea. Given how popular the modular sets are, having a bunch of smaller (and mainly cheaper) ones will fill a huge need in the market. Also if they combine very well with eachother, you can make a small neighbourhood of smaller houses with them.

    This is a nice custom build made with the set. I think you made quite a few nice improvements, both for the look and where the functionality of all the interior went. As you said, having the indented wall on the front as well, would have made the house a little more interesting, but it isn't a huge deal. (and easy to fix if you start something like this with your own 2 sets of family house 60398)
    The one issue I have with this, is that despite being a decently sized house, it is still relatively expensive, even at a big discount for 40-45 dollars per set. I'd much rather pick up loose bricks from Bricklink and buy only the pieces that I really want, or see what I can find in the Lego store wall for a cheaper part price. The 450 parts for this comes out at 0.10 cts per part if you pay $45 for it, that is actually expensive compared to the part prices I normally buy them for. Also, being able to choose specifically what you buy is a huge advantage, as you can re-use whatever you buy generally better if you choose them yourself.
    It is a bit of a hassle to figure out what to buy and use, but so is rebuilding this building in your own little way and trying to keep what makes it work.
    That said, great job on the design, this is excellent for a lot of people that are more strapped for time but not for money. MOCS that are built from 2 or more of the same sets are immensely popular, as even if you don't own ANY lego, you can still buy and build it from scratch.

    • @ridzbricks
      @ridzbricks  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Honestly I use so many of the pick a brick pieces in my builds it’s not always necessary to use two copies of the same set. It just makes things easier. I think I might make my own fully custom building next to really test myself
