When you mentioned that glue would ‘shrink’ the vellum, I thought,,, a thin line down the center with little off marks for the veins in the leaves,,, I will have to try it. Your leaves may have been too small to attempt that but it’s a thought for the future. PS. I make my comments as I see you create so this was at 10:29 minutes into the video. Looking forward to seeing the finale flip-thru… when it’s at that point.

Thank you so much for your speedy reply. Funny story - I usually focus on greeting cards so I was cleaning my craft room and throwing things away to make more space. I had thrown out my only four copies of Daphne‘s diary after pulling what I thought was important. Then three days later, I stumbled on your video and ran out to the paper, recycling bin outside and grab them back up never realizing how many things can be pulled for bling and ephemera.
I am watching your part one video and doing my best to follow. I am still not sure what signatures are or the measurements on them but I will figure it out. Your final diary is absolutely fun and beautiful. I hope mine will be even half as good. Thank you
Yours will be. Signatures are just the pages the are folded. I think I started with 6 signatures. The pages were about 10 x 8 inches, so when folded each page is about 5.5 x8 inches. but I have thinned the journal down as it was getting too thick. For each signature I started with about 4 pages folded in half so 8 pages once they were folded. I am currently holding the signature in by tying with some twine. Once I get another couple pages done I’ll sew a hidden spine. I’ll talk about this in my video when I do it.
