It shows how the breakup hurt him.
Bill said later that he didn’t realize that their comfort levels were so different. Bill was ambitious and wanted to go as far as possible, but Bobby would have been happier with something more low key. Bobby also suffered from stage fright, which can be awful. Bill also said they never discussed their differences, they both avoided confrontation. Well, marriages aren’t always easy, either!! At least Bill and Bobby reunited later on, and had both fun and success.

@@user-fq2ux7wu3q He finally learned to take proper care of his voice after he lost and regained it, and he follows those good practices today. Thank goodness! I can’t imagine singing 3 shows a day in the Las Vegas desert climate.

The Coasters were in there, too! Everyone seemed happy to be there and support each other. it must have been a lot of fun.
@LaurelT1948 it seemed to me they were all backing up Bobby knowing about his stage fright and going out alone. But both Bobby and Bill did seem more at ease on Shindig!
