Today I'm popping in front of the camera with my friend Orit to make a huge boho DIY pendant lamp!
She just moved to this new bright space but it0s totally missing her earthy boho personality, sooooo we decided to give her place a makeover.
In this episode, we are gonna show you how to make a boho pendant from scratch simply using some rope and a balloon.
YES! It's on a budget! you can have your diy boho chandelier with not more than 30$.

Awe switch the light on! I was so hoping to see how much light passed through with the amount of rope you used (I’m making one this week and still looking into how much to cover the yoga ball I’m using!)

I am sooo blown away! I can’t wait to try this! The space is gorgeously decorated, as well!
(one tiny little thing that I’ve come across multiple times in my interior design classes, the area rug is just slightly smaller than it ought to be but it’s fine, especially if you’re in love with your rug. Just get a larger one that will accentuate your rug and place it underneath so that at least the first 2 legs/feet of your furniture pieces are anchored on it. Other than that, I love it! You have brought such a gorgeous aesthetic to the space in such a simple, seamless way. What’s great is that the lampshade that you made is most definitely your statement piece and it’s unique, personal, something that you can look at and take such great pride in when you’re complimented on it, not because you have great taste and purchased a beautiful thing but because you know that your own hands made it! PERFECTION!!!

Hi! I just made this pendant and it totally worked! Unfortunately, my design didn't turn as good as yours' and i would like to try again. Does anybody know whether i can reuse the jute by washing the cola with water? I cant find thread that is less than 2 milimeters anymore where i live.

I’m Not sure it would work by washing it but if you are planning of getting rid of it anyway it’s worth trying! I actually do think it would work if you wash it well

hmmmmmm hmm hmm that's a good question. i think you can add a LOOOOOG of glue after you finish as a shield and it shoudl work

You can make it in any size you want
Maybe you could finish off the bottom by gluing on the same string you used around and around until it covered up the raw edge.

What are the measurements of the ingredients? You say 3/4 tablespoon of cornstarch. It looks over a cup to me? Just want to make sure I’m making the mixture correct.
I tried it and the shape came out perfect but there was dried glue allllll over the jute... Lol, I spend hours doing surgery with tweezers to pull it off. Any idea where I went wrong? I expected it to stay on the balloon when I deflated it but no such luck, lol.

@@FashionAttack you may have to check the footage in your editing software. Looks like the sound on your clip is off but the music track is still on

i got many comments about this but the video ive got inspired from is a kid's channel where they show how to craft balls out of balloons... her video explicitally says NOT to use a baloon so if i would have watch that video first i would have definitelly not risked using it
