What is ASMR??
ASMR stands for Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR).
It is a feeling of well-being combined with a tingling sensation in the scalp and down the back of the neck, as experienced by some people in response to a specific gentle stimulus, often a particular sound.

That was the coolest part! I turned off the subs for the beginning, and just listened. When it repeated without the rain-track, I turned the subs back on. It was like checking my answers after a test.

I can relate to the accent talk in the video. I'm from Quebec, where we speak french, but our national accent is pretty thick. That makes conversation with people from France slightly more ardous than it should. Anyway, portuguese seems like a pretty relaxing languague. Good stuff !

I went to Quebec this summer for the first time! I always thought everyone spoke both French and English, so I was shocked at how many people didn't speak any English. I loved Quebec so much! We drove from Quebec to Alberta, and Quebec was by far my favorite part of Canada.

Yes, Spanish and Portuguese are very very similar! I can kinda speak Spanish although not very well haha but when I was in Mexico my 'portunhol' was very handy haha

I just found your channel. I noticed you do your videos with background sounds and also without the background sound. My personal preference is with the background sound but I think it's a great idea to offer both versions. I really loved this video! Portuguese is such a beautiful language. You should do more of these videos. The sound of your voice speaking Portuguese is super relaxing!

I'm from Italy🇮🇹 I'm learning spanish to reconnect with part of my roots and that's incredibly helpful to understand portuguese;
If I sum up my italian and the spanish that I know I can understand most of it! (even though admittedly portuguese from Portugal is a bit tricky pronunciation-wise😅)

There are so many similarities between Spanish, Portuguese and Italian! I can't really understand Italian, just a few things but the Spanish to me I can understand almost 100% when spoken! Love the Latin languages ❤🌼
@@tinyhandsASMR of course portuguese and spanish are much closer together than italian; some words like também/también -> "anche" or talvez/tal vez -> "forse" really set italian apart sometimes;
Usually in those cases italian is closer to french like parlare/parler or allora/alors.
If you know all four you're basically unstoppable 😅

I love your portugese videos, even though I don't understand much they are still nice as inaudible whispers. Personally I only speak English. I have tried both Spanish and French in the past. And understand a little bit of both mainly Spanish.

Portuguese has always been fascinating to me. I have some experience with Spanish, so encountering spoken or written Portuguese is like…this is Almost Spanish, but it’s Spanish that got bumped around in a washing machine for a little while and I can’t understand a word. lol!

I don’t know since when I started to be interested in Portuguese, probably because I always love the beautiful architecture in Portugal and makes me want to know more about the language and the culture 😯 I am from Hong Kong btw and I speak Cantonese. As my first language is not a Romance language so it’s a bit harder for me to learn Portuguese, but I’ve been learning for a month now and I think I’m making good progress 🤓
I know quite a bit of Spanish because my girlfriend is Spanish and I spend lots of time in Madrid but I don’t know Portuguese. It’s really nice to hear you speak Portuguese and I’d love to see / hear one of your ‘follow the instructions’ videos in Portuguese, even if I’m not 100% sure of what I’m being told to do 😂 Anyway, thank you! I think portuguese is such a beautiful language. Esspecially the european portuguese deserves more attention, because I have the feeling it is often forgotten compared to the brazilian portuguese 🇧🇷.
And it is very interesting to hear the different accents from Portugal and Brazil.
I think about learning (european) portuguese, because of a personal motivation.
