I use a small welded platform on top of a wild edge step that is the same principle - sit facing the tree on longer sits, stand on it as a platform, even attach to a tree as a seat at ground level. This can be folded up out of the way which is even better Well done!
I want one that is half the size so I can put my but on it when I'm facing away from the tree. Many time the wind reverses and I find myself facing away from the tree and just need to relax my legs a little bit from standing. So a small one would work fine.
Is that a WEI Berserker saddle? I love mine. I added a heavier Bridge that I use to hook to a climbing rope to climb the 🌳 when I'm trimming. This early season setup with a leaf mask & leaf jacket is a no-brainer. I will be hunting primarily with my WEI The Embattlement & the secondary platform with be the Perch with wings. I camo'ed out my gear but I still need to stealth strip both platforms & The Assassin Reach. That is after I figure out that strap & camera mount. I did order the additional 6' smaller strap which is a little simpler if need be. Thanks for the vid.
Just got my OOAL Assassin Reach. Of course it was delivered 10 minutes b4 a steady rain we dearly needed. I have a Sony RX10 Mark III cuz it's very heavy duty. U think The Reach will perform outstanding with a slightly heavier camera setup?
It doesn't take much of your weight. Just enough to relieve some pressure of the saddle. It extremely comfortable. Not something I personally use bec I'm such a minimalist BUT if I knew I was going to hunt all day it would be in the bag
Been saddle hunting a long time brother. I Don't ever run it that high but kept having to get down and up to press record and the extra rope just made easier to help get my fat butt back up there over and over lol

Reach will have some bounce but it will hold steady with up to a 10lb camera. It's a very nice arm for a self filmer

Lower that teather and you wont need to worry about that hip pressure. I just dont like any of OOALs products
