These are my notes after experimenting with the different wet lines and finding what I believe is the optimum wet line at this track. Written notes are below, and please comment any notes or suggestions based on your experience racing in the rain at GingerMan.
The car is a 1997 Mazda Miata with a 2.4L Ecotec Swap prepared for ChampCar Endurance Series with Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 Tires
Turn 1: Braking - 1/3 track left, cross over to outside of track and hold outside into Turn 2.
Turn 2: Stay very tight inside braking, turn-in and cornering, hold inside and exit mid-track after second rumble. (In video the car gets a little too far out pre-apex).
Turn 3: Brake mid-track, turn in early and stay tight, exiting the tight side of mid-track.
Turn 4: Stay on racing line but expect to slide through to track-out where the track will gain grip as the car slides out.
Turn 5: Braking on the outside, stay between the outside of the raceline and the edge of the track.
Turn 6: Brake in a straight line next to rumble and drive the outside of the track. Ride the outside of the track but expect to and manage the slide on exit as you cross over the raceline and stay on the "outside" on exit.
Turn 7: Brake mid-track, cross raceline on entry to a late mid-track turn-in to stay on the outside of the track.
Turn 8: Manage inputs to control grip near the outside of the track with a small margin for sliding and prepare for very late apex of 8 into 9. You need to maintain speed to avoid the need for excessive acceleration through 9.
Turn 9: Sharper turn-in to slide across race line into the outside of corner during entry. Follow as smooth of an arc as you can outside of the raceline and the track edge. Manage a light but consistent throttle to the 2nd apex. Expect to manage a 4 wheel slide through the entire 2nd apex on the raceline, the car will slide out and grip up into the inside of 10b.
Turn 10b: Braking 1/3 away from inside track. (The outside entry on turn 10b will get you into A LOT of trouble, stay INSIDE while braking!). Speed should be managed and you should be driving across the raceline(not sliding) on entry as the track grips up on the outside. Follow the outside of the track through the rest of the corner managing throttle.
Turn 11: Braking 1/3 from track left, cross over raceline near the end of the brake zone and turn-in as the track grips up on the outside of the raceline. Stay a car width off of the race line through the corner, managing throttle and expecting to slide as you cross the raceline on exit.
