His team; Caen were newly promoted from Ligue 2 and they came into Stade Vélodrome losing 2-0 with 20 mins left. They then rallied back to win 2-3! He helped Caen stay in Ligue 1, finishing 13th place. Leicester City signed him that summer for €9M and well, the rest is history!

I feel like it's a pretty well known one, but there's Gareth Bale's insane game at the San Siro. He was already playing for Spurs but that was the first time he really came through. Also any of Monaco's 2016/17 UCL matches can be a good fit for a lot of players like Mbappe, Bernardo Silva, Benjamin Mendy, etc. One that particularly comes to mind is Monaco's 2 - leg win against Man City.

I don't know how Kante played at 18 or 19 but how on earth is it possible that this guy was so many years unkown until his mid twenties? I see highly gifted abilities at his style of play I have never ever seen from another player. He's literally one of the most unique players ever, incomparable. As a scout I would have immediately contacted his agent for a deal if I would have spot a young talent who plays like this, honestly.

I think the players can be amazing and all, but if the coaching and teams in general are sub-par compared to many other big leagues, then it's regarded as a farmers league. PSG smash the hell out of the league, but in the CL they don't perform to the same level at all. Things change of course, like the EPL fell off for a while, Seria A died out, but Seria A is coming back with more players going to Italy and teams improving, PL teams have improved a lot too recently, etc... Ligue 1 just doesn't seem to be followed or cared about too much compared to other leagues, so the focus on teams and money is much lower.
Olympique Lyonnais has a big academy and they sell many players in Europe, just look at; Benzema, Ben arfa, Lacazette, Martial, Tolisso, Plea... there is sonmuch good players who come from Olympique Lyonnais And future player like Aouar, Fekir, Gouiri... You’ll see

he really was the player that won us the League. Marez and Vardy were good and got the headlines but Kante was phenominal week in week out. I wish we could've kept hold of him. The mad part is we sold Drinkwater to Chelsea for only £2m less than Kante (£33m) and he doesn't make their first team.
