- In this video we work with elder lashes and chat about how difficult they can be. We talk about how to get used to working with them as well as how important it is to work with them so we don’t limit ourselves to a particular lash clientele!

We achieve a very subtle result by working with 3D pro fan lashes in black + brown. I have these “elder lashes” 😊. And it’s true...my lashes are very light..but even more...I can’t see well enough to put mascara on any more...nor is my hand as steady....the lash extensions are so nice...cut down on the time it takes me to get ready..I feel like I don’t look as “washed out”...and my 80 year old hubby loves them...he normally doesn’t notice things like this..but when I stopped wearing them he looked at me one day and said. “Why’d you stop getting the lashes”. 😄. Cracked me up...
I totally get it. Our lashes change as we age, this is inevitable but there are absolutely ways we can enhance them still, no matter how weak or fair the natural lashes may be.

Good info, I have a client that is in her 60’s her lashes are fine and sparse. Haven’t had good luck with her sets. First, the glue bothered her, then the eye pads. I changed to sensitive glue and using tape under eyes now. I will order now order 3D lashes. Thanks
3D lashes sound like they would be a wonderful option for her as they would cover the gaps nicely but will likely offer good retention due to the minimal weight of them! We have XL trays with mixed lengths, this may be a good option to start and try them out :)
It definitely does takes a while to figure our clients out and feel confident we are giving them the perfect service and end result for them! I've had to trial and error A LOT with clients before finding what works best for them!
They look lovely. You did a really good job. I have had mine done but the girls hated doing them cos they were crossing over, thin and not many in addition I slept on my side so one set of eyelashes where a bit damaged. Maybe I should look around for someone more talented to do mine. Thanks for the video.

I wish I had of watching this vid before I worked on an lil old lady today. I cried in the car how terrible and how I didn't double checked Everything 😭😔 I feel like stopping because of this but know I'm doing great on younger ladies.

I love this tip on mixing Brown lashes with Black for a more subtle look, I m totally gonna do this next time..how do you mix them? By layer or just mixed throughout?
Great question!! This is totally up to you, I would say mix them equally throughout or sandwich them together between layers (eg. brown in the middle, and black on the top and bottom)! ❤️

I had no choice at start but to work with older client lashes and light blonde lashes I really thought of giving up specially one of them moves a lot & talks all the way 😅😣 my first 2 clients had shorter lashes then yours, took me a looong time but they still with me after 2 years 😂

I have such a hard time putting eyepads on some elderly clients. The thinner skin seems to not hold onto tapes or gelpads and slides up into the eyes. Or the lower lashes are very short and always pop out form underneath the pads 😣
I totally know what you mean! A trick I believe helps nicely is to make sure you're cleansing the entire under eye, lash line and eyelid of the more mature client. This will help the pads really adhere when placing.
