    What is Multiple Sclerosis ❓
    Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a potentially disabling disease of the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system). In MS, the immune system attacks the protective sheath (myelin) that covers nerve fibers and causes communication problems between your brain and the rest of your body. Eventually, the disease can cause permanent damage or deterioration of the nerves. Signs and symptoms of MS vary widely and depend on the amount of nerve damage and which nerves are affected. Some people with severe MS may lose the ability to walk independently or at all, while others may experience long periods of remission without any new symptoms. There's no cure for multiple sclerosis. However, treatments can help speed recovery from attacks, modify the course of the disease, and manage symptoms.

    As an MSSER before i was diagnosed i used to have so much anxiety and stress i felt too much and i had a poor diet also i was lazy i never exercised so i believe by listening to what your body wants, eating well, exercising and most importantly meditating giving time to yourself u can manage symptoms and if lucky you’ll be healed. I notice amazing things when i meditate properly, check out Christine Albright’s story she managed to heal herself by meditating being spiritual and believing. Its hard to imagine a life without MS when you have it for too long but you gotta try!

    that looks really interesting! I have Ms myself and yet no medication seems to be successful enough to slow it down or give it a temporarily halt. So now again i am switching meds again and hoping this will somehow control it. i am looking forward to a new video about this Ayurvedic diet, seems interesting and somehow it makes some sense to.

    I have had ms for 4 1/2 years... positive with jcv, over 7 lesions in critical areas... so your not alone,
    I can relate to your symptoms and relapse alot. I am on no medication.. I've took tecfidera and copaxone... both put me in the hospital... I do not trust ms medications.. but that is my personal opinion... I would like to try rituxianb but unfortunately in the united states it isn't approved by fda for ms... I just try to stay positive. eliminate inflammatory foods that may help. keep your head up. soon I will have my CZcams channel started maybe we could collaborate a video one day . keep your head high. positive vibes , positive mind, positive life. ♡

    I have MS and have not had many complications except for fatigue and optic neuritis. Sometimes I doubt i have MS. If it wasn't for my yearly MRIs, I would be certain nothing is really wrong with me. Most of the time people in my life don't understand this complicated mindset I have when it comes to the disease, including my husband. It's refreshing to see another gay guy in the world pouring his thoughts out on here on MS. Thank you.

      Hey Christopher :) I don't dare to say it myself, but I sometimes feel the same way about having MS. I don't talk about it too much so as not to jinx it, but I'm mainly just grateful that I've been doing well. It's hard to find anyone who understands the mental rollercoasters MS takes you on. This is why I wanted to reach out to other MS'ers.
      All the best brother, and do reach out if you feel lost! xx

    How did you go with the vitamin D treatment in Italy late last year? I'm glad to hear that you're feeling better after making new dietary changes. I know sometimes it can be hard to juggle a range of things we do to look after ourselves but it's always worth it in the end. xx

    • @LifeofSebMS
      @LifeofSebMS  Před 6 lety +3

      Hi Nyssa! I will have to make an update video on this, but I never went for that consultation... The restrictions the treatment entailed felt almost as restrictive as MS itself... I don't know, that's just me, and nutrition is something I would really struggle with restricting! xx

    • @Kirarachu
      @Kirarachu Před 6 lety +1

      It's wonderful that you came to the best conclusion for yourself. I haven't looked into the treatment much but if it's restrictive, then it's almost like adding another burden to our everyday lives. Some burdens are easier to handle than others. Thank you for the update as I was wondering how you were getting on with it. xx

    • @ana9claudia
      @ana9claudia Před 6 lety +2

      Hi Nyssa and Seb, you need to get better information on the Coimbra Protocol, the treatment is not restrictive at all. We only have to be careful with calcium, so avoiding dairy is the main thing. That's is the only thing I avoid but I do go off this rule at least once a week, I've been on the treatment for 10 years and I've never had a problem at all with it. I followed the Best Bet Diet for a while and even the Wahls Protocol, The Coimbra Protocol is a breeze compared to those diets. I pretty much avoid dairy (not 100%) and eat everything else. Much health to you!

  • @s0phian0va
    @s0phian0va Před rokem +1

    I have started utilizing the Wahls Protocol since my MS diagnosis and adding healthy fats is a huge part of my diet changes in addition to complete lifestyle overhaul. I use super high quality coconut oil, ghee, red palm oil, avocado, and beef tallow. My lesions have reduced and I am in remission.

    Good luck with all of that period I wish you the best. But I do have a question for you, what is your aversion to over coming and such? I understand your Shying away from cure because it makes no sense. But what is the aversion for you to overcoming MS. Or maybe I'm just confused which is Normal . I guess I should have mentioned before but I also have MS, remitting relapsing to be specific.

    • @breffnibyrne4518
      @breffnibyrne4518 Před 6 lety

      Clay Maynard I don’t think anyone can ‘overcome’ a life long illness with no cure available. You can only take steps to reduce future damage

    • @LifeofSebMS
      @LifeofSebMS  Před 6 lety

      Thanks man. The way I see it, overcoming sounds like a one time thing, often seen in sentences like “how I overcame my MS”, when in reality it’s a lifestyle adjustment that improved their life. And don’t get me wrong, that in itself is wonderful! I just get offended by the marketing aspect of the words “overcome” and “cure “...

    • @claymaynard4207
      @claymaynard4207 Před 6 lety

      OK. I think I see everyone's point. Right think for me it's a mind set, so many people talk about surviving MS. But survival is not good enough for me I overcome in my attitude and my mindset. But everyone has a different idea an opinion on these things and I respect to that so I appreciate sharing thank you.

    Hi Seb, did you ever considered homeopathy as a treatment for MS? I don't have MS and can't tell you to if and to which extent it helps, but I read online that it might contribute to people having MS. I personally have good experiences with homeopathy for other health issues.

    • @LifeofSebMS

      Hey Johan, homeopathy is not a recognised medical treatment: www.fda.gov/drugs/information-drug-class/homeopathic-products
