There is a raw honesty in her songs that cannot be faked..I tell everyone she is my cousin ,wish she was!
Watching Eddi live playing with so much passion and verve tantalises the dormant to stand still and listen. Her sincerity, class and humanity have brought new dimensions on how we look at Robert Burns. Many warm wishes from the beautiful island of Malta to all her fans. And to Eddi of course :)
Seen Eddi play loads of times all over the UK since the early 90's in my Uni days....can't wait to see her again next week....only saw her at The Sage in September last year...hell was that a year ago?
Such a beautiful voice. I saw Eddi in Ronnie Scott's Jazz club in London and she was absolutely terrific.

I can never thank a good friend enough for bringing this lassie to my attention some 6 years ago now. May I one day have the pleasure of hearing her and her friends play live. I love the warm family feel to the concert and the simple stories of growing up in Glasgow. (Me I'm just a wee sassanach from East Kent currently living in Alberta Canada. (Since'78)

Love this lassie. Never heard of her until I was introduced by a personal flame. I have been a fan ever since. So many beautifully rendered songs that go straight to the heart. My only regret is not finding er sooner - but finding her songs has made my life better.
Listening to Eddi Reader in the car as a child is one of my more earlier memories. My mother was a huge fan. Listening to Eddi brings back so many memories! Glad to see her looking so well :-)

I watched this looking for her to sing Dragonfly , no dragonfly but ended up watching till the end Lovely. Who was it that said there was not a Bog hole in Ireland big enough too put all the accordions in .

I'm not a fan but I enjoyed that...she is as versatile a talker as she is a singer. 20:18, the song everyone knows...1:20:18, a song few know, but I think her brother Frank actually sings that one better.

Eddi Reader is a terrific singer, but even better is her wry Celtic slant on reality - someone who'd be a godsend were one marooned in a croft - or better, a wee pub - on a little island somewhere for a very long time. Redheaded original, pungeant fun! Does she (not) resemble Meryl Streep on mild amphetamines?
