oh the things a handy person can do if they can weld. i'm handy, but sadly i'm not set up for welding and at my age, it's a little too late to apply beginning welding skills to an airframe.

Hi TJ thanks for sharing, I have just found your Channel.
I have just finished rebuilding a MKI with the rare K.F.M 112 engine (I believe it's the only one in the U.K flying) The engine runs very nicely but I like to know what my options are! Was installing the Jabiru engine straightforward?...where did you get the engine mount from? or did you make it?
Also good job on the spar mod...but can you tell me if there is any cause to carry this out? Have there been any crashes or fatalities as a result of the factory spar failing? Keep up the good work. all the best from Somerset in England :-)

Thanks for sharing. Would love to see more also. I have a Avid Mark IV hanging in my hangar that was damaged in a hauling accident. After I finish my current project I’d like to do something cool with it like stretch and widen.

    1. what was the diameter and wall thickness of the main spar carry thru pipe.
    2. Where did you get that long hole drill from

Nice work. What diameter and wall thickness did you replace the carry through with?

Where did you get that tube saw?

It was just a dewalt hole saw that I welded a pipe onto. Worked really good. Was the perfect fit for the new tube.
