Thank you for sharing your story. My husband and I also faced heated and heart breaking parental consent issues for about 3 years. My dad eventually consented last year in September 2021, and 3 months later, January 1 & 6, 2022 we celebrated our traditional and church wedding ceremony. God fought all our battles and moved every mountains. Today we are happily married to the glory of God.
How was your relationship in those 3 years?
Where there times either party felt uncertain about the fight or second thoughts ??
@@shalomtutu we were never uncertain. Infact, it made our bond stronger. The storms were from external parties, but we were intentional with being united.
I like how you tell us stories about yourself but still manage to keep a lot of things private. Yes we like gist but a lot of CZcamsrs don't apply wisdom when they are creating content.

May 10th will be our 12th anniversary. We had similar story. Not hear say but more of tribal difference. I knew from.the get go what tribes were off limits for me but in my mind it was just friendship. So when now friendship turn marry me, the conversation changed. I forewarned my husband and Marshalled forces with my uncles to go ahead of me to.my parents. I made my uncles access him n when they approved i had all the support i needed to face my parents. We triumphed. 2 weeks to.the wedding his mom out of no where said " NOPE" We had to fight that too. Marshalled all the church elders n pastors to go ahead of us
We won. Hasn't been smooth sailing all the way but to Gods glory we r still standing. 3 precious girls n 12 years of Gods goodness.
I can soo relate with this. My mom said soo many nasty things to dissuade me for no just cause;honestly. My elder sister made matters worse but we had soo much peace and joy being with each other.When I didn't introduce any other person to them after 3years; they let me be. It was then my mom worked on it spiritually and got a go-ahead. Most reasons are trivial and bias honestly. 4.5years in marriage,I couldn't have asked for a better partner. Tables have turned,the stone that wasnt wanted is now the chief cornerstone.

@@amarachiinyimah1073 hi,sis! I feel you totally. We were tenacious as we had both prayed about it from the scratch and was double sure we were meant to be. We also enjoyed each other's company soo much that the heat didnt have effect on us at all. We cried together (tbh), held each other's hands,communicated more often,fantasized together, hung out without sending anyone. Once it's meant to be ehn,it will be. Loads of love from me to you🥰

To think that i was in that phase but mine was on the basis of culture and i prayed to God that "God, let your perfect will be done" the relationship didn't work and here i am fulfilling purpose and waiting on God. God bless you and PG so much. I don't usually comment but your lives, marriage and parenting has been nothing but a blessing to me.

Wow! Today May 1st is my wedding anniversary. It is my 12th year of marriage and it has been God all the way. This particular matter is relatable. I won't say more than that. I love this couple and I'll keep voicing it. Being african, Nigerian to be precise, i didn't really grow up in a home where love is very evident, never heard my dad say "i love you" to my mom or we his children verbally. Almost impossible for my mom to say "I'm sorry" when she offends us. So i really do appreciate the love you share with each other and the kids too. I pray to get a man this intentional about God, love and all of what you have❤❤❤

Wow! I love the Adejumos, I was a founding member of Agape Christian Assembly at Oluwatuyi then, my sibblings and I did choreography tire in that church. Lol. They are great people, you are blessed to have them as in laws and vice versa. I am not suprised they could apologise to PG when they realized the truth. Most parents will not, they will just turn it to ogboju.

Mine was tribe issues and my husband now parents fought him because we are not from the same tribe, Igbo and Yoruba thing, but thank God for him , he knows what he want and he fought for us, he came out to tell me that his parents said he can't marry me too and I was really down and I told him we can prove them wrong, it's wasn't easy but here we are today happily married ❤️

Mehn…the last time I made that prayer, God legit scattered the relationship cos I still can’t place an exact reason for the breakup and it was not funny , started praying for the grace to bear the hurt. Although, that meant it wasn’t God’s will.
