I have had my MB3 set for 10 years and love them. I used to use the chop and scoop to cut up raw meat but sadly the handle broke off recently. my fault since I did not treat it well and let it soak in water many time's. I like the look of the new set and my get one to replace the old set.
They r way better than all these overprized snobby knives that also break.
Isn't it guarenteed?
A chef doesn’t need to drop-cut tomatoes. A chef doesn’t need to divide a pineapple in the air and a chef doesn’t need to cut beer cans before fileing so don’t do these thing when testing knives. Try how fine you are able to dive your onions. Try how it cuts meat. Try how straight it cuts a loaf of bread. Good knives last for generations not for ten to fifteen years. Buy a realy good chefs knife from Japan, France or Germany for 100 USD an learn how to keep a sharp edge instead. Love your vids but not your knives. (Sorry for mispelling words but english is not my first language.)
but my funny pineapple cuts
Thank you. I think I've had my set about 20yrs. Still love it. Live on the rock n chop for about everything. One time the ball came off (old ones had ball for pinching) and MB replaced it right away. We stocked church kitchen with a few of just the rock in chops as a gift to the kitchen. And we've gifted the set and block to many homes over the past 2 decades.
Seeing that the serarations are further apart on the one you called a carving knife, i would say that it is really a bread knife.. The two others are carving knives. One to hold the meat(with the fork end), and one to cut. Just an opinion.
Same here as some other comments.. I’ve the original set for 13 years now and those puppies are still sharp!!!
The fact that you couldn’t aim the knife to cut through the center of the pineapple with 2 attempts is mind blowing
Really not an athletic guy. Could you imagine him trying to throw a baseball?
@@Dunkaroos248 hahahahaha
@@mrj30 ok...but you saw his overall stance, swing, and feeble attempt, right? Not exactly Derek jeter
you are supposed to drop the tomato, not throw it....
I'm not actually sure that you're supposed to do, either :-)
I wouldn't normally buy a cheaper knife or set but the amazing set of Cutco knives I have are very heavy for my,sister who does the, majority of the families cooking because she has arthritis in her hands. I'm going to order them for her. Thanks Jack!!!
Crazy to think that one of these steak knives was used recently in a murder. Look up Taylor Schabusiness, Green Bay, Wisconsin. She used the knife until it was literally ground down.
I can intentionally dull a plastic solo knife and still cut through a tomato because a serrated blade doesent have to be that f!*!!ing sharp to cut through a tomato.
Agreed, and if you blunten one part of a long blade and slice with a part you didn't blunten, then you've proved nothing.
These knives last forever!!! I have had mine for years and still sharp as day one! Very happy to see this review. Thank you Jack!😀
I agree my experiences over time in using the MiracleBlade 3 knifes is that they are awesome.
Not everything made in China is junk!
Good insightful test review!
Years ago I was a Cutco salesman and I still have my Cutco knifes, which are excellent.
Some years back, I also purchased the MiracleBlade 3 and over the years my experiences with using the Miricle Blade 3 Slicer , is that it is an effective, capable multi variety food slicer. Over time my experiences with the MiracleBlade steak knifes, is that they are excellent, on par with Cutco's steak knifes.
However I cannot speak for experience with the newer added Miracle Blade knifes or Scissors.
Time and experience has shown me that the MiracleBlade knifes are overall,an awesome great deal for inexpensive yet good quality, effective and capable knifes. That will do the job nearly as good as the over priced Cutco knifes.
Do you have any comparisons or updates on your experiences with the MiracleBlade knifes?
You should do a video comparing the miracle blade 3 vs the world class series
Go back and watch the old infomercial with Chef Tony. He demonstrates how to properly use the “Chop & Scoop”
ARTICLE.II.DEFENDER
I knew I wasn't the only one who thought he goofed with that one. Kinda arrogant.
You didn't watch Chef Tony's demonstration. He scooped with the front of the blade. It's made flexible for you to do that.
Jack I remember when you did the old set. I didn't realize I have watched you so long. I believe I started watching you when Jack jr was in about 4th grade. Time flies. Sharon
Aloha From Hawaii Jack!! Great Knives shown by a great person God Bless!!
thanks. God bless you and all the islanders!
I know you like to use a knife set for awhile before giving an opinion but can you tell me what you think so far? Thinking of getting this for a Christmas present.
Jack what knives do you have for everyday use? Your personal set.
This is one of the oldest channels still going ive ever seen on youtube ! Years of content and i love it
I need to get a decent knife or small set as I like do bbq and cut up meat a lot and some veggies. But don't want to spend hundreds but maybe more than $50. I have done the victorinox mistake already. Doesn't stay sharp. So knife reviews are interesting to me. Not sure this set is for me though.
I've had my III set for 3 years and they are just as sharp as the day I got them. I love em
Ginsu and TV knife use the same stiples so did Ronco knives. Ronco used the same blade but had a terrible handle. I have had to sharpen my Miracle blades. The 22degree sharpening angle is not as good to me as a 17 degree angle. But these knives tend to chip even with the 22 degree angle. Henkles Santoku is better at slicing when they are sharp/vs miracle blade which will always perform well. Some complain of rust. My own have not I keep them clean and dry. But the german style steel made in China may not be consistent.
Good for those who don't know how to sharpen blades. Nothing like a good sharp chefs knife. Can shave with mine.
Is it me, or did he not demonstrate the Rock ‘N’ Chop chef’s knife?
I cut copper pipe with mine....and it still sliced a tomato with no problem.
This guy is too obvious when he's getting paid and when he's not
They seem to work nicely! Maybe it was due to the last set that failed royally but these seem to be designed correctly
its to break joints when cutting up things like chicken
Isn't that spot on the scissors a beer bottle opener it fits perfect on a beer bottle cap
With the tomato it looks like you tossed/threw it into the knife, would've been nice if you just dropped it, other than that nice review, I still have the 2nd series, sent in most of my knives to get sharpened, mine did get dull quick though...
I will do it again for you on an upcoming video. be watching for it.
The 4 steak knives look smaller than the originals... Is this good or bad?
It doesn’t matter, personal preference, all that actually matters is how well it cuts .
That was amazing Jack! If that ain’t an amazing knife set I don’t know what is!
the best knife.
I have mine for 13 years did everything to abuse I put these thorough hell and back still sharp
buy other type of knife non is has good
Nice knife set don't see a link to purchase them. Also just curious where did you get that cutting board? Or the link for it.
On the scissors is a bottle opener, bottles with a screw on top.
Great video! Two things I learned from this video:
1) great knife set
2) you have really bad aim when cutting pineapples :)
Was eager to see you using the rockin chef. Send me the link to you using that.
NICE KNIVES. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A SET OF THOSE.
i miss california loved the set up :) and jack jr was so much smaller lol
Im disappointed that theres no medium sized chef/santoku knives for cutting things that arent huge but aren't tiny.
Still using the 3s, but I'll definitely get the new set. Are they full tang? I noticed it has rivets.
Jonas says there is no the thing in the middle is a bottle opener for the twist top soda bottles the glass ones
Where do you live now?
Lol... never bring a knife blade to your hand. 1 min before, tests the durability of a chef knife by knocking it against his knuckle.
whats your point? he knocked on the flat side of the knife. Please, show me where theres a blade on the flat side of a knife. The blade was pointing away from him so he couldnt have slipped and accidentally cut himself either.
The teeth on the scissor handle is a bottle opener.
I absolutely love mine!
Chef dont lie homie.
It couldn't even cut through a hammer pssh
Daniel Doss LOL! Guess we will have to go with another brand for our hammer slicing needs! ;)
hahaha. Good one!!!
@@tracyherwig8334jlkkjl003t
That cheese looks gross
Sir Jack, you have to guide the knife when you try to "chop fast like a chef". That way you don't end up cutting off your hand like you could have done the way you're doing it. The only part that should touch the blade is around your knuckle. The rest should be safely under your hand!
Nerve damage from diet lifestyle will prohibit one from having fine motor skills to guide. So one most go slower and keep the finger tips tucked in.
Have you tried the hessler knives?
Very nice looking knives.
This is a great review.
I would be scared to use that knife
Very good review 👍🏻 very informative
Why do Americans have a thing for seriated knives?
Did this clip come out 7 months ago I've had these knives for about a couple years
Great demo! Looks like a perfect set of knives!
6:26 tsk, tsk, tsk what a shame to ruin a nice hammer😢😢
try any
Who would ever cut pineapple like that? LOL
And i believe it well
That is a C+
I didn’t see you the rock and chef and such did you ever consider doing a video on it it in your thoughts of the whole sck because I’m thinking about putting in my video for cooking
Cool
Nice
AMERICAN MADE IN CHINA :D
yep, American designed.
How about a one-year of use review? Out of the box review is useless.
