- How much water does a cow drink each day? What do they eat for breakfast? How does milk get from the cow to your table? Watch this delightful video to see what goes on behind-the-scenes at Kleinpeter Farms Dairy.
I have been a milk addict my whole life and I always will be. I just can't be without milk. This video is great! I just hope that the cows are treated very very well. Well done!
You are a milk junkie
You should try raw milk it's the best
@@pelon7109 Once you try it straight from the udder you'll never go back to that 2% bullshit
@@pelon7109 where to find raw milk?
@Cherry Lu a cow hehe some farms sell raw milk just Google raw milk near me if your lucky someone might be selling close by in Mexico we drink it straight from the cow nice and warm
Great video! I used it as part of my Daughter's home school Science lesson today!
czcams.com/video/D1ZJOnfTry8/video.html
Awesome!
Wow. Just the thought of a cow eating up to eight times a day is amazing.
Farmers make sure they get proper nutrition.
You must live a boring life
Funny how these videos are made to sound positive with uplifting music and soothing voice over
" we keep them in tight cages to protect them."
Lol
StaticDreamsEntert typically the pens are not that small
All the stalls I've ever seen are small.
Raw Reality well it depends. Typically once the males are older they all go in one big pen where they can play. The girls go in their separate pen. When they are still being bottle fed they have smaller pens, they can still run around in them a bit but not a lot. I’ve never seen any of the size in this video but that’s what comes with large scale farms or factory farms.
I guarantee the calves don't spend all day in what looked like a feeding pen in the video.
Martin Smallwood I have seen farms like that where they are in a big pen and only go in small ones to eat
Safety has been taken to another level. Those calves can barely move in there.
Very educational and unlike some readers, this is part of life. I'm glad to see the cows are taken care of.
That's what these businesses want you to believe so you continue to buy their products. Have a look at some raw footage instead of this edited propaganda. Perhaps it will give you a better insight :)
@@lanav2478 shutup you probably have never seen a cow in your life
You did a great job! By telling us the story of milk. And i like it!!
Cool video!!! Helped heaps with school project!!!
I had to laugh when the guy said 'the cold winters'. They are in Louisiana, I've lived there and worked on tug boats for many years through all the seasons they have, summer sucks!!
Thanks for the hard work.
I honestly have no idea on why I am here
I just woke up to this.
@@bradj977 Im high asf what is this

Cuz it is interesting
High asf drinking milk
Excellent video! Very useful for high school agriculture classes.
Not really. This is just propaganda from the Dairy Industry. Try some further investigation and you will find much more useful and truthful information. Wishing you well.
AAAAAANNND where are you getting the facts to prove that this is "propaganda?" Those investigations are specific farms. Vegans find the most enormous, terrible looking outlier they can find to "expose the truth"
Well vegans are stupid f###s that don’t know what there talking about
This is how cows should be cared for, them mofos even have fans to cool them off!
what a great family and biz
This is Awsome! Thank you.
thank you
I would love to tour the Kleinpeter facilities!
thank you! it really helps me🙂
We love this milk. So creamy and tasty. Browns, Borden, Rouses don't even come close.
The ice cream is also awesome if you can find it.
I worked for brown’s dairy just got bought out by by a company out of Illinois 12 years gone
@@mikewilliams5473 That's shitty. Always a recipe for disaster. New management comes in and fucks everything up because they need to leave their mark and show everybody who's boss by changing things that don't need to be changed, and ending up running the company into the ground.
Great I'm Movin. to Louisiana just because of their healthy cows and that creamy milk
Great video!! I love milk. It's nice to know how great you treat your beautiful animals.
Amazing how they can still make money. Granted all the work they do, they still pay for labs, tests, the people who work in the labs, all the cartons, machines, people to work the machines and fix them, drivers, etc Farm Equipment and its maintenance. all to make lets see, 700 cows= 8400 gallons a day= about 2.39 a gallon= $20,076 minus the obvious cuts from grocery stores... I mean im sure they do other stuff at the farm but theres a whole other set of costs right there too.
They are subsidised
AND ONE # 1 Thrity thousand Holsteins you are talking out of your ass.
Forgotten Ally you don’t make much money😂 at one point we were losing money every day we got up...
I want Milk from the Cow to the cooler then RIGHT in MY GLASS !!! I LIKE it this Way!! :)
That's awesome. COOL farm
People griping about calves being in pens, when you see a calf ripped into pieces by coyotes, you'll have a rough understanding of why they aren't kept outside
They shouldn’t be bred and kept at all. Plant based milk is healthier and doesn’t require cows. How weird is it to drink the breast milk of another mammal? Why are humans the only ones who do it?😃🌱
@@charlesstone591 shutup idiot
Farmer Coolness Is that all you’ve got? Not even a decent insult? Why are we the only species who drinks breast milk from a different animal? Why do we drink cow’s breast milk as adults? Don’t you think it’s a bit weird? 😃🌱
@@charlesstone591 please stop calling them breasts. That's just weird
Cody Harder Call it what you want. Does the word ‘udder’ make you feel better? It’s baby cow growth fluid, designed by nature to grow a newborn calf into a large animal in a matter of months. Do you know why we drink so much of it now? Prior to WW1, we consumed much less dairy than we do now. Google it. It’s really not good for humans. Drinking it is what’s really weird.
Have you ever questioned why you drink it? Is there a reason, other than you were given it as a child? Plant based milk is so much healthier. Changing to plant based milk is easy and no baby cows getting killed for your taste preference. Would you not feel better about that?😃🌱
I’m honestly here for class I really enjoy watching these videos when I’m bored
I know this might sound weird to some but I consume atleast three litres of milk every single week (sometimes much more!), And I'm ready to pay more for milk that comes from cows that lead a happy life and that are properly taken care of.
9 liters a week gang
Please call the dairy at (225) 753-2121 to get all the tour information and guidelines. Thanks for your interest!
You make it sound so good
I Love Your Video I Cannot Help To Watch It Again And Again
Nice vid. I drink alot of milk!
You don't know what those cows go through in the daily industry-
@@kadenmichael1893 yes I do.
Well atleast you know what they go through. Poor animals
I just had a ribeye steak...medium..and a talllllll glass...of the good lords energy drink.MMMMIILLKKK.....:)

Oh my gosh. I wish we had this brand in kentucky. In my area it is prairie farms and that milk is scary, stinky and taste on the edge of sour everytime. I wonder how their cows are treated.
Now what do we want? Milk! Milk! Milk!!!
4:42- I wish I were a cow. I'm always hungry
Drink plenty of milk in addition to eating! Milk is very high in protein, and if you drink whole milk, you can get a good amount of healthy fats. This will help make you feel more full when you drink it with your meals, and also drink it throughout the day
Jeff Leonard no you really dont with u were a cow
We take the calves out so the mothers don’t step on them. We’ve had calves to have been stepped on and had broken legs.
They wouldnt be stepped on if they weren't kept in confined small spaces in cages ;)
Cows are so cute :)

lol @ 3 mins in " the tags don't hurt the cows" - while filming a cow with a ripped ear
Which means she got her tag caught on something. Humans didn't split her ear with taggers. Accidents happen. As you can see, all the others are intact.
Humans pierce their ears what's the difference
like earrings in humans can rip too
They don’t hurt them it’s like ears pierce but for cows

Moo moos!
🐄🥛
Its the year of the cow. You know what that means ;)
It may seem nice when hearing the moo of a cow, but if you play Dark Forces, the sound of Diagonas sound like the moo sound of a cow.
The truth is that the last thing a dairy farmer ever wants is for their cows to be sick, unhappy, or uncomfortable. Happy cows, happy business.
Unhappy, uncomfortable, sick cows produce ZERO milk. People don’t understand that.
How can a winter night be cold in Southern Louisiana? I thought it was basically warm year round down there
Lmao it probably at worst gets down to 50-60 degrees, cows can handle WAY colder temps. Just look at my home state Wisconsin, we get winters where it's below freezing every day, and the cows don't care. They have a TON of fat on them that keeps them warm.
Louisiana isn't warm year round smh
Anyway that food can be use to feed the people????
4:48 hamburgers.. really?
Very informative
Yummy
milk is treated through heat which alters its composition. Depending on the season and whether indoors or outdoor fed blueing agents as in laundry detergent to make whites whiter is used to improve the colour. Bleach is also added to milk to both enhance its colour and disinfect to a certain extent. Pasteurisation does not completely kill the bacteria now found in milk. In addition heifers are regularly given medication during pregnancy and when they contract certain diseases including mastitis. Its well known that antibiotics and hormones transfer into human breast milk which is why breast feeding whilst on medications in some circumstances is not advised. In bovine applications this is ignored in the most part. Hormones and chemicals excreted through the mammary glands in both humans and cattle is released into the milk. its unavoidable. There is a known causal link between milk and Tuberculosis and other diseases including breathing allergies just google it and check the FDA and cdc websites for further info.

Wow these babies are immediately separated from mommy. I've head Cow us a very social and affectionate animal. Also do the calves grow to a teenager inside that much space. I see they are given space to run and grow and jump, but the calf grow into teenagers inside theose bars, unfortunate!

I couldn't agree more with RevelationGJS and have another question. Do you give something to the cows so they produce more milk and for a long period of time? Do they get mastitis because of that or any other disease?
what happens to all the male calves?
Footsoldier raised for veal, beef and vary vary rarely to replace old bulls.
I love 🥛 so good thank you 🐄
Nice video LOL
how long a cow lives in Kleinpeter dairy farm, and when its milk decreases, still you feed them or send them to slaughter house
Wow, I will buy your milk any day as you look after your cows very well and with total respect they deserve, and you don't take their newly born calf away from them to be killed and the horror of eating calfs who have hardly stepped on earth is pure evil.
what do you do with all the male babies?
Que bellésa de ganado de quw pals seran deven de seer ingléáea ...
Hahaha I love how you make sound so innocent they come like a Daycare after there born... But why are they there because of there Momma's Milk.. So sad how we have the world believing this is ok
It's not okay. We eat literal chemicals.. Our hormones are damaged from the nonsense preservatives they put in our food. I stopped eating animal products after I realized how I had been damaging my body. My new motto is, "If I can't see where my food comes from I won't eat it" I started eating very raw and organically
They still drink cow milk it’s actually better that way because sometimes the udder can get infections and the milk could have mastitis (u probably don’t know what that is) The milk that r in bottles being fed to calves is checked for dieses
Haha u know about cows but u do stupid not shutup
Baby from mum???
How do u think the plants feel there alive too lol
Danielle Tasker it's been proven plants feel too, just because they can't talk or scream people don't worry about it. Some plants respond to being grazed by increasing tanin levels, making them to bitter to eat.
Karen Aguilar LMAO!! THEY DONT FEEL PAIN. Then don't have a nervous system so that's impossible.

Vegans should visit a farm sometime. Actually talk to a dairy farmer, instead of being a keyboard warrior, and trying to bite the hand that feeds them.

Did they just say milk was a food 💀
So they separate the calf from the mother to feed it "colostrum" which is basically milk that comes from a cow that just had a baby? What the fuck? Why not just leave it with the mom then?
Blackwood Studies have shown that up to one third of calves left to suckle do not receive adequate colostrum. It's recommended that every calf drink a gallon of colostrum within an hour of birth. Some cows don't even produce half that while other will produce enough for 2-3 calves. Milking the cow and feeding the calf ourselves ensures that they get exactly how much they need.
Oh I see thanks!
Montpelier Louisiana is not too far from baton rouge Louisiana
Ummm so what happens to the male cows? And did you forget to mention how the male calf’s are taken and separated from it’s mother. Or maybe the millions of litres of water that could’ve gone to impoverish countries that have no clean water and millions of tones of grain that also could’ve gone to impoverish countries. And did you also we aren’t designed to drink cows milk so it causes long term illness.
@B K care to tell me how I'm brainwashed? Coz honestly u must be pretty fucked up to eat innocent lives for no reason and allow children to die under a blazing sun.
@B K I also don't need to know what u like eating I'm flattered by u telling me but I don't like people who beat off to cows getting fisted.
Milk.
Humane is compassion. Putting cows in small pens, stealing cows baby’s and damaging the bond between mother and child, and murdering them when they can’t produce milk is never HUMANE murder is never HUMANE
Did you just not watch or????
The small pens are for when they are being milked...
Nope i have a milking cow
What happens when males are born ?
Btw Organic valley cows are outside 24/7 Not just once a week.
Eventually they get worn out if from milking and they just fall on the floor and die
calves are not allowed to spend only one day with their mothers, and you "love" your cows so much that you send them to the slaughterhouse when they don't produce any more
omg i want milk and this did not help
This is a COMMERCIAL, not a documentary. They have an objective...to get money. Why wouldn't they paint you a pretty picture. Please use your critical thinking skills people and quit letting yourself be brainwashed. Time for the world to change.
lol they must think we stupid
in spite of the title, it's an ad for one farm. most dairy farms however, do treat their cows very well.
