About 2 months after Cs 2 released the game was losing about half a percent of players per day until it dropped to about 600k players. Then out of nowhere without any additional content added to the game it started gaining half a percent per day. That was when real players left and they were replaced by case farming bots.
Man the game feels very dead to me. Barely anyone is queuing Faceit, getting the same players over and over and I'm not about to play matchmaking. I just stopped completely for the time being until some major update hopefully. 128 tick felt much better as well, to me the only way to make CS2 feel decent is on great ping with a lot of fps. Even if they keep sub tick they could've just made it 128 tick anyway, seems very greedy to me by Valve.

i hate how corporations know they realising unfinished product and terminates the good ancestor so players don't protest by playing previous one(csgo to cs2 or overwatch). Like i can't play the game anymore because of subtick or optimalization. I live in small village with poor internet and my ping avanges on 80 to 100ms and in cs go 64 tick it was light and smooth i had to think in slighty future and predict if this matters but still it was playable and more random. But now i can't play cs without jitter thing that I desynchro and teleport that is just dogshit fix your game valve please.

Keep in mind this is a bilion dollar company If they cared they would be way quicker with updates, more consistent, spoke more with community. But they are barely doing any of this. In regards to source 2 being used for cs2, valve devs in the late 2010's said working on csgo was a headache and very difficult yet they don't seem interested in working on cs2 either now they have their desired engine.

Players complained about wanting new maps. Valve releases new maps, players still complain. I understand that we never a proper anti cheat and sub tick, but they are answering some of that wants. Yet we still complain?
If they add new operation maybe they can revive the game because they’re is nothing to farm in cs2
Something yall need to remember when comparing the early milestones of CS2 with the timeline for the first CSGO operations and the state of bugs in the game at the time:
CSGO was a CONSOLE PORT of CS:Source, a very mature engine with almost a decade of "little fixes" and quality of life features "nobody asked for". The whole community was BEGGING for a source 2 port of CSGO since 2017. What happens when they get it? They hate that it actually has the shiny new engine they were screeching for literally every time they got "CSGO'd" by "lazy gabens 20yo engine".
Nobody's ever satisfied, always bitching and always toxic. "NEVER CHANGE ANYTHING!", "REDO THE WHOLE GAME IN A BRAND NEW ENGINE! AND BE SNAPPY ABOUT IT!", "IT DOESNT FEEL EXACTLY THE SAME WAY IN A NEW ENGINE AND I AM LIVID!"
If you think you could do better: do it. otherwise: STFU and enjoy the ride. Nothing is ever perfect. You only get one life, spend it ruminating on every little thing that isnt exactly like you wish it was if you want but I'm gonna appreciate what I got.

@@kacidy You know why they asked for source 2?because they expected something to change, people expected 128 ticks and a better anticheat.
And in the end what they got was a completely inferior game.
The community has all the right in the world to complain when it is the same community that makes maps and especially skins that they then sell in their crappy cases.
@@kacidy I don't think this line of thinking is correct at all, there have been source 2 counter strike leaks for nearly 10 years now which begs the question what have valve been working this whole time instead of perfecting cs2, not much of note has changed since late beta/release. In regards to source 2 being used for cs2, valve devs in the late 2010's said working on csgo was a headache and very difficult yet they don't seem interested in working on cs2 either now they have their desired engine.

@@josephmarkham what were they working on between the first game using source 2 (DOTA2 in 2015) and the release of CS2? Well, let's see: a couple tech demos as vr proofs of concept in 2016 and 17, then it was all hands on deck for Half Life 3 (aka Alyx) which was the first functioning FPS in source 2 (2020). It released to great fanfare and acclaim and laid the groundwork for CS2 development between 2021 and 2023.
Building a game that isn't just an asset flip takes years of development time; building a game ENGINE from scratch that is intended to be the foundation of future games over the next 10 or 20 years? That's a whole 'nother level of time consuming.
I'll repeat myself: if you think you can do better, go for it. Show Gabe Newell how easy it is. I ain't gonna hold my breath, but I do wish you luck.

Its just not how things work for me and i would rather play with cheaters
But if you would have any actual idea of a intrusiv anticheat you would know that there is no differnece and the only reason people belive that valo anti cheat is working is because they have no replay saystem and you get banned on reddit for posting anything cheat related.
The only viable thing is ai anticheat and tbh online muliplayers are doomed anyway because of ai cheats which work already and will never be detected. And as seen on tf2 people even like to host bots that ruin games and pay for that without even beeing on the pc.
So its either play 10€ a month with trained people to detect cheats or go f yourself
