I always wondered why Hiroyuki Sawano is obsessed with German language whenever he made songs like this and on Attack on Titan... But one thing is for sure, that man's work were so overhyped and overpowered as f$ck that we thought we were in a boss fight even though we are not the protagonist - we're just spectators yet we still feel like we're there.
I actually think my favorite thing about this is how accurately Rena sticks with the vocal cues to the original song. It sounds so on point. Literally perfect

Well, this is a cover I was not expecting. A metal version of one of the most evil of evil anthems? One that sounds uniquely distinct and still carries the impact of the original piece? Absolutely masterful!

It definitely held my top spot for a while. I think Cowboy Bebop probably dethrones it for me now that I actually got around to seeing it, but Kill La Kill is still a genuinely impressive work of art.
Gurren Lagann is the GOAT, but KLK is a worthy successor/cousin to it and I love it nearly as much.

First time I've heard a version of this song that is clearly German but also sounds... well, like Blumenkranz. The other real German covers are beautiful, but the actual singing is just so different it's unrecognizable as the song they're covering.

As someone who isn’t a native german speaker, but has been speaking it for 5-6 year this is awesome to hear, especially when the original is Japanese German. Anyways, awesome singing from rena, amazing composition from Falkkone. Love this song

When I had just started watching DBS with my brother like a week ago, you dropped two dragon ball songs. You did your alola elite 4 cover when I was re-playing Ultra Moon. You did Symphony of Boreal Wind the exact day I downloaded Genshin. And quite a few others with really specific timing too

Das Original ist nicht schlimm gesungen. Meiner Meinung nach ist das Original mit Abstand besser als jedes Cover. Rie schreibt die Lyrics erst nachdem Sawano das Lied komponiert hat. Die Lyrics passen nicht immer perfekt zur Melodie und deswegen müssen die Sänger etwas improvisieren und z.B. Silben weglassen. Außerdem hat Sawano Deutsch gewählt, damit es fremd klingt und damit man es nicht versteht. Das Lied wurde halt primär für Japaner geschrieben. Es macht keinen Sinn, dass aus einer deutschen Perspektive zu betrachten und die Aussprache zu kritisieren. In einem Lied geht es um mehr als nur korrekte Aussprache. Ein Lied soll gut klingen und nicht perfekt ausgesprochen sein. Meiner Meinung nach hört sich das Lied mit korrekter Aussprache viel langweiliger und weniger mysteriös an.
