The King card on the cats suit reminds me of that super adorable little morph thingy in Disney's 'Treasure Planet'. He randomly melts into silly shapes and uses himself to point at things/in place of verbal communication. He's so cute!

You always simultaneously stress me out and amaze me when you just start drawing a big project like this without research and thumbnails and sketches and ughhhh. You just make art! I need to get better at that cause all of my art has been dwelling in the research phase

However, because I'm that artist who wants to go the extra mile, I would put a clear coat of spray modpodge on these so the designs don't bleed, fade, or smudge over time as i would use them to play with

Should you decide to create a deck of cards from your ant illustrations I know that they will be a huge seller item! Thank you for sharing this economical deck for creation of a personal set for anyone that wants to create their own cards! You did a lovely job with these. I hope you go for it and create a new ant driven set for your viewers.
I wonder if the beading effect was caused by the fingerprints from when you held the cards down. since fingerprints are just, skin oil impressed in a certain shape, and oil is water-repellent. Maybe with such a smooth surface that is enough to make a difference?
thank you ,i just cut out 40 atc artist trading cards from my canson watecolor paper leftovers.i have to play with them i got out my ohuhu markers to color them ,your art is awsome
Kasey - check out Moriah Elizabeth's video about creating her own card deck if you do decide to create one. It definitely took her a long time and she already had the characters created (she used her OCs) and she switched to digital art to make them so there are a lot of useful hints/things to avoid etc in that video for you to learn from and figure out how to create your cards. It could be better, if you definitely want to keep it traditional, to use an opaque supply like acrylic paint and then when they are completely dry maybe laminate them, or use card sleeves, to protect the art work inside. Do they make matte finish laminate? 🤔
I definitely think that if you make your own set of cards that you should replace either the worms or cats with room interiors (I think that’s what you’d call it) where you draw a house or building in general but one or two of the wall are missing.
Fun fact for thought: in the Russian language "hearts" are called what translates to "worms" (черви, sounds like "cher-vi", stress on the E). But that's just a coincidence: the word has nothing to do with worms, it comes from the old name for colour red (which is червонный, cher-vo-ni, stress on the O).
That's because "red" sounds or sounded like "worm..." in Slavic languages. Idk, maybe worms were called "red things" too. And the ❤ suit of cards was just "red".

I usually don’t like the spades suit as much, but cats make everything better. I love your take on the face cards, the traditional ones aren’t aesthetically pleasing to me.

ooh how I wanted the queen of clove to be the queen ant 😭, but the crown on the grass gave mystery vibes, like who killed the queen! Loved it more❤
