- What better way to make Wreckfest even crazier than to turn every car (player and ai controlled) into jelly cars ? As you can expect there are an awful lot of crashes and vehicles tumbling over.

3:55 - that's exactly what's happening. The higher center of gravity, the higher amount of weight that is "transfered" under acceleration (both longitudinal and lateral), as there is more leverage from inertia. With extreme suspension travel you also suffer from center of gravity moving around when car leans, adding to the weight transfer under load, increasing differences in grip between tires and chances of rollover.
The only channel where "Jelly Car" and "Traditionally" can be in the same sentence

Also if not already, we need Reliant Robins that fall over at the tiniest provocation, because that is never not entertaining to me. Having seen a 40 tonner get blown over yesterday with high winds, anythibng can be a jelly car with enough wind

Wow! From that first race you could tell that even with normal speeds for cornering, you need to slow down more to avoid a flipover. 😆

thats another problem i have with wreckfest, they dont remove the obviously cheated times.
Are we sure that this wasn't multiplayer and that the failrace film crew wasn't playing shenanigans? That wheelie into oblivion seemed very Laddo-like. @12:27

I think the dingo beetle in fh5 would make for a good jelly car if you still do that series. Last time I tried to drive it even stock it constantly was wanting to roll for reasons beyond my knowledge. It could have been bc I was doing the rally expansion but still.
You can setup servers to play mods on multiplayer, would love to see the FR crew in some wacky mods

This reminds me of the "stilts" cheat for Driver on the Playstation.
It looks like they handle like trophy trucks… cornering changes in trophy trucks and it’s difficult and totally strange for the braking zone and acceleration zone

i gotta ask how this mod works with realistic damage settings like how chaotic can it get lol
You can more easily do this without touching the suspension settings at all, which I found when making custom tire settings way back when.
I´m not sure but I don´t think you can change the other players or ai´s suspension which is the whole point of the mod
@@sendyboiii7 In the mod editor, there's two settings for the tire location. One is physical, one is 'logical' (moves the track and such without affecting visuals), but it has to be done individually on every car.
Doing it via the tire method, you can fiddle with the physics settings like friction, surfaces interactions, etc, and if wanted, load that tire profile across the board for every vehicle. I made everything from ultimate traction racing slicks to drag-type effects so you can do wheelstands or pole vaults with the tap of the brakes just to goof around.
@@C-M-E Sounds interesting, I had thought that maybe I could have done the mod differently. The mod originally started out with editing the suspension because I was requested to make something that forced every car to suspension like the muddigger, but I see that making custom tire profiles like you say would have probably worked equally well for creating rollovers
@@jaffahusky8 It can get really wild for sure, I'd have to check which tire is the default profile that goes on every car as I haven't modded WF in quite the while (it's listed on every car anyway as memory serves), but when go into the tire settings, look for surface type, friction, and there's two other properties that affect how it reacts with how deeply a tire deforms on the different surface materials like asphalt, dirt, water etc. It doesn't take much to make them significantly more effective or more wonky.
I'll see if I can find my master folder and update this if you're interested, or if my mods are still in the workshop, the main one was called the Boom's BS Experience. From there you can go to the profile and find the modded tires for data references.

I love watching you and the lads race on Wreckfest, and you don't do it enough. These "jelly" cars are stupid, cannot be fun or satisfying to drive, and watching you attempt to drive them is not entertaining. I'm a fan, Alex. More Wreckfest please, less jelly cars. Wreckfest without Laddo is no Wreckfest at all.
sucks that mods dont work on xbox
i can barely watch this and i had to quit playing wreckfest because the framerates are just abysmal in nearly every track at some seemingly random corner.
I prefer watching competitive racing where there isn't a 99% guaranteed chance of winning every race, but we do get those in most of the other modes so as a one off this is fine. I just skipped to the inevitable chequered flag at the end of each race :)
