Very true. While he was an absolute master of the horror genre, his knack for comedy doesn't seem to be too well-known, which is a shame. His timing was impeccable, and he was a great sport. It must have been fun for him to branch out into something that so many people don't associate him with, and he does it beautifully.
Two men who were easily the best in their respective fields...and they could honestly have formed their own comedy duo, because their chemistry is incredible! I always get a huge kick out of seeing Red Skelton and Vincent Price together. It's so incongruous--but Price had fantastic comic timing, and he clearly loved every second. :D
It happened several times, actually. Even when Red was still doing black-and-white episodes. They seem to have been good friends, by the looks of things.
You don't know the half of it. Vincent Price always made a cameo on Red Skelton's show as a boxer whenever Red dressed up as trainer Cauliflower McPugg.
Mr_Fox Red/Clem: What are you thinking about? Vince/Casserole (posing like the Thinking Man sculpture): An egg. Red/Clem: YOU LOOK LIKE YOU ALREADY LAID ONE! 😅😂🤣😅😂🤣
+Daniel Kinsey It probably was Dick Tufeld since June Lockhart and the Lost In Space Robot were also guests on this particular episode of The Red Skelton Show.
The announcer sounds like Art Gilmore. Go watch some of the old "Highway Patrol" series and listen to the narrator and I believe it is the same person.
Did Vincent Price really say the A-word? I didn't know people were allowed to say "ass" on The Red Skelton Show back in 1971. For decades, that show didn't even allow what was considered bad words. Back then, when guest stars joked about Hoover Dam, they'd say "Hoover Darn". Gone are the days of censorship on TV. I shouldn't be gloating or complaining about it though, since Red Skelton's show was one of my favorite TV programs.
It's sad how many people don't realize how much comedic talent Vincent Price had. He's not just a scary voice, you know.

@@hyliadreamer Vincent is at his comedy best in the 1950 film Champaign for ceasar with Ronald colman.
@@randyacuna3248 Also, check out His Kind Of Woman, where he co-stars with Robert Mitchum and Jane Russell
@@docmalthus I have not seen kind of women yet but on your
Recommendation , the first chance I get I will watch it. Thank you 😊

“Maybe it’s Betty Crocker-dile!”
😅😂🤣
A version of Gillian's island on Red Skeleton Show. What a wonderful and very hilarious? All of them are past on to the great comedy in the sky.😎🤗😁☺️
Two of my favorites. I adore Vincent Price and miss them both.
I love watching Rudolph’s shinny new year , red does all kinds of voices .
"Shiny". And Red only provides TWO voices in it. Are you sure you've seen it?
Back when TV was worth watching.
Now there's a combination I thought couldn't have ever happened. Red Skelton and Mr. Price.

The best episode. Do you know if they have appleby's garage with mr. carter on youtube?
What an incredible man, what wonderful humor without vulgarity! Those days are long gone!
Newsflash: He was extremely vulgar behind the scenes.
Couldn't you tell that he wanted to be vulgar? He'd always refer to the censors.
A flaming Vincent Price.... Classic :-)
My favorite Red character Klem Kadoodlehopper but the cowbell wasn’t in this one
Red and Vince are the best.

Vincent Price was a great actor he knew how to do horror.
Good To see Vincent In a Straight man Comedic Skit, He Ads The "Atmosphere" 2 the Overtone.
The radio announcer sounds like the robot from "Lost in Space".
+newalm Thats what i thought

LOL - Nice Red, you finally tied into your first skit with Vincent “The fly..” and he didn’t belt you over the head.
The voice on the radio sounds like Dick Tufeld, the voice of Robot B9 from Lost in Space.
You’re right
Red Skelton was a comic genious
What is that U doing in there? Read a book!
Vincent price was made for acting and entertaining. It is sad we won't see the likes of him anymore
CZcams has another pairing of Red and Vincent Price in Freddie the Freeloader's Christmas Dinner, an HBO presentation from 1981.
That island girl looked like Nancy Kwan. ;)
Is the ship captain’s voice Bob May ?
OMG! Is this where Gilligan's Island came from?!?!?
Given that Vincent's character calls Clem Kadiddlehopper "Gilligan", obviously not.
Wasn't that the voice of The Robot from Lost In Space?
Is there a way to get a copy of a specific episode of the Red Skelton Hour?
Time Life has a rather large collector's set of full episodes available.
Very possible. He worked on the Red Skelton Variety show.
