- Hi friends, In this video I go into Omak with my buddy Michael, to buy my winter boots for my next adventure up Chopaka mountain. Then we visit my friend, the Cowboy From Loomis, and he tells me a little about his time cowboy'ing in and around Chopaka, as well as sharing some good tips about places we can go in the area.
I lost some footage for this video, so it is a little choppy in a few spots, also I played around with some new functions of my sound mixer, I think it turned out ok, though I need some practice with it lol

So glad I checked to see if I could find what was going on with you. I feel deeply for you because my late son and my grandson had issues with substance abuse. My son was clean when he passed in an accident. My grandson went through rehab and is living in a "sober house". He has a job and is doing well. I'm proud of you Matt. I just turned 80 and am praying for you and my grandson.

Matt. I noticed, every time I feel alone, sad or stressed, I put on your video:) I am in the same situation as you with my family. I experienced a lot I'm My life, lost my son, he drowned and was missing in the ocean for one year. God heard my praire and my son came home so I could get a grave to visit. I got to hold his head in my arms the day before we buried him, because that is what they found, only his head..I have been deeply mistreated by many but I have become strong and grown in those trials, I thank God every day for everything I learned in life through bad experiences. We learn as we go. I live in Norway , I have everything I need, food on the table, roof over my head and Heavenly Father in my life supporting me. Take care my friend.

Speaking of wild, I came across a flock of wild turkeys in the suburbs of San Francisco near my friends house, near Berkeley. I couldn't believe it, they were real bold and sassy, one minute they were perched on the roof of the smallest house in the street, next they were walking across the road like a boss like they owned the place, you had to wait or go around them, but not too close. They were making that gobble sound it was hilarious.hahah✌✌🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃
Matt I'm so glad you have friends where you're at, it's good that somebody else has you're back. I still love that clock at that man's house it is absolutely beautiful. I know it's hard with the death of a parent, and I also know there are good memories but they're also bad memories. But you keep staying strong I am so proud of the man that you have become! HI MATTHEW! It was good to meet your friends! I noticed that your friend Dan has the same devotional I have, the Jesus calling one! It came it handy a lot around 12 years ago when I had a lot of unfortunate circumstances happen. I have used it since then too! I have to say it again, the area where you live is sooo gorgeous!! I also love the historic bank in Oraville from when you were exploring with your friend! I have watched so many if your videos recently since the beginning of November till now. Back in October I injured my back and I was unable to move for a long time. I finally had surgery to correct the problem on December 1st and I was watching your videos from my hospital bed! I'm so much better now, although I can now predict the weather with my back haha! Anyway I don't want to get too far off topic 😂 I just enjoyed having your videos around to watch while I was healing! Anyways, your friends are awesome! God Bless you Matt!

I have 3 deer and 5 Tom turkeys that visit my yard to feed daily. I LOVE seeing wild life - always a treat. That deer Hyde is coming along nicely - can’t wait to see it when it’s finished. It was so wonderful to finally visit the old cowboy at his house 👏 He seems such a lovely man and so kind and helpful to you 🙂 You could listen to his stories all day. He has a lot of history to tell. Now we've met Dan, Michael and the old cowboy!! You have a nice circle of friends and it is good that you get out and meet them. I feel they helped you through your dad's anniversary :) I think you processed and dealt with your grief in a healthy way. You didn't just remember good memories BUT all memories. In my experience it's healing to TALK about your loved one who has passed. You even mentioned a saying of Billy's "nothing runs towards fire" when talking about torch light 🔦
Thank you for explaining about the moon when travelling, it makes sense when you explain it :) Even though I live in a rural area, in recent years street lights have been installed and we don't notice the changes in the moon anymore 🌖🌝 My dad grew up at the bottom of a mountain ⛰️and he grew up learning and watching the stars and moon phases. He still goes out every night and looks at the sky!

You're right. It's good to have friends. Looks like you've had some really good times with your friends. I'm so glad you got your birth certificate and driver's license. We all have great memories with our parents and of course there are the not so great. That's human nature. None of us is perfect. I always felt the first child is the experiment in parenting. Even if we've helped raise younger siblings, there's so much we don't know. I learned a lot with my first, poor kid. Have a wonderful time until your next video. Looking forward to it. 😁👋💖
