Creepshow stars David Arquette, Adrienne Barbeau, Tobin Bell, Big Boi, Jeffrey Combs, Kid Cudi, Bruce Davison, Giancarlo Esposito, Dana Gould, Tricia Helfer and DJ Qualls.
All they need to do is bring back Tales From The Crypt.

Part of the charm of Creepshow 2 for me were the animated segments between the segments that followed the little kid, Billy around. I love how it started in live action and cut into animation and then ended live action again. Hopefully they have something tying these episodes together and they’re not just episodic.

Chief Woodenhead did it for me!! Seeing him make a little cameo was great! Loved Chief in Creepshow 2. He should’ve survived the haunted doll house though imo!
The original is a campy and horrifying classic. Hope this one can live up to it.

This trailer has me convinced, with Creepshow being one of my favorite horror films - fav films in general - seeing the original Creep at 0:09, the angles, the comic book lighting; it looks like it might have that fun campy 2D feel the original film had, while being just as scary if not even more scary, just might have to invest in Shudder! :)
Tobin Bell needs to be in so many more movies! He is such a great actor!

If I remember correctly, Creepshow 3 wasn't even a Creepshow movie originally. They just got the rights for the name, so they slapped it on there because they knew the movie was shit.
Creepshow means a lot to me. It's my personal all-time favorite horror film. This trailer looks promising but i'm still cautiously optimistic about the series. Casting Adrienne Barbeau in one of the stories was a nice move and that shot of the Creep at 0:25 looks cool as hell and really captures the exact same comic book look of the first movie. But we'll just have to wait and see if it will live up to the first two films. It couldn't possibly be any worse than Creepshow 3 was.

Watched the first episode and thought it was far better than I expected.
They've captured the style and tone of CS perfectly. But as with all shows like this, it's really going to be down to the individual stories.
@@sperrin I agree. It was an amazing premiere episode and i'm really looking forward to the next one. It's getting a lot of hate though, which I really don't understand at all. Some people are just completely impossible to please.
Still pretty bad. they seem too desperate when they use references from the films. I really thought that the indian figure was gonna save the little girls dolls, but the writers piss on the chief by killing him off so to speak. I also thought that was disrespectful like the overweight sax guy in the lost boys sequel.
I think i keep watching hoping it will get better but now i'm just watching to see if it could get worse.
There are so many moments when i'm watching some of the episodes. example, the bug exterminator episode, the guy is shrunk down to the size of a bug? how did this happen? Does the therapist have that power? and what was the point of Keith David showing up at her door at the end laughing? It was so stupid, and it felt like i was back to watching that lame sequel "Tales from the hood 2".
The only one i actually liked and enjoyed was "Public television of the dead" because it almost felt like i was watching an episode of "Ash vs evil dead" although when the demons face got burned, the makeup looked lousy, but i'm sure it was a nod to one of the original stories "Father's Day".
Don't understand the ratings it gets. CZcamsr "SleevedBikers" Reviews were terrible as well, talking about the "No Woke Narrative" but i think he took those reviews down and stopped reviewing the show because he probably thinks the show is terrible.
The ending with the little boy having vampire fangs and the aunt appearing scared was stupid too. I mean the kid's into monsters, didn't the writer's think that the aunt might think that those fangs could be some novelty fangs he's always had and that there really wasn't a reason for her to be frightened at the sight of his newly acquired teeth?
I really don't get it. If it were me taking over control, out of the gate i would have remade the original stories from the movies or even do some sequels to the stories from Creepshows 1 and 2 but instead we get these (insert Michael Douglas's "sorry" from the film "Falling Down") stories that make me upset! It make's me so upset, I want to spit!!
The ugly intro graphics make it look like it's very low budget and i'm reminded of Creepshow 3. This show actually feels like it's an extension to that.
My favorite will alway's be "Creepshow 2" and i absolutely Loved Tom as the Creep in that film which is way better than the puppets. I think i would have worked on getting an who would closely resemble Tom's Creep as far as makeup goes and if said actor cannot sound like the creep in Creepshow 2, i would get someone to voice him to sound like Joe Silver to play the creep before every story. Damn....think i missed my calling. There are so many things in each story that leave you questioning and saying WTF?? Think of The Man In The Suitcase". I mean what was he doing in the suitcase, and the whole coughing up Gold?? GTFOH!!

I completely and wholeheartedly disagree 100% with everything that you just stated and the first original Creepshow (1982) is my absolute all-time favorite horror film, second to none. This amazing series totally craps all over the truly godawful Creepshow 3 and to me it actually feels far more Creepshow-esque than even Creepshow 2 does. I love that the series has the very colorful and highly stylized comic book panels, lighting and visuals just like in the first film. I much prefer the skeleton Creep from the first film and the new puppet looks pretty damn cool to me. The animation in season 1 looked a lot better because it was done by the great Richard Catizone, who did the animation in the first two films, and i really wish they would re-hire him because he is a brilliant animator. I firmly believe that the people who are vehemently hating on this series are just the usually contrary, negative, ridiculously nitpicky and highly vocal online minority. The vast majority of people that i talk to, both online and in the real world, absolutely love this series. Completely unlike Creepshow 3, there is an awful lot of top-notch talent involved with the making of this show, some of whom actually worked on the first two films, and i think they are doing an absolutely sensational job with it. The very strong critical praise and extremely high ratings for this series are totally warranted, in my view, but they do actually surprise me more than a little bit because i usually disagree with the critics entirely. I believe it was Mr. Murdoch in the Pesticide segment that caused Harlan King to hallucinate and then shrank him down to the size of a bug at the very end. I think he was a sorceror or devil (possibly Satan) who went around tempting unscrupulous and morally bankrupt people like Harlan with lots of money to get them to perform extremely evil deeds and then punished them severely if they actually went through with them. It's a classic morality tale with a macabre and darkly campy supernatural slant, which is precisely what Creepshow is all about. It's a very pure Creepshow style story and i think it's a brilliant segment myself. The practical insect effects in it are amazing looking and i love Josh McDermitt's performance. I've enjoyed every single episode and segment so far, including the animated and holiday specials, and i'm really looking forward to future episodes. Most of the complaints i've heard from people online about this series have been really nothing more than silly nitpicks. I think this series is pure campy fun that perfectly captures the merrily macabre comic book spirit of the first film in spades. Season 3 has already been shot and will be airing on Shudder later in the year, which is awesome. It's fine if you hate the series because we all have our own opinions about things but i don't agree with you even a tiny bit.

i caught the first couple stories and was quite pleased with the efforts put forth by everyone involved. I look forward to more episodes and am hope enough fans support the show to snag future seasons along with a proper physical release on blu ray.(the behind the scenes, extra material would be a treat).
I was worried because the same company who did Creepshow 3 are behind the production of this series, but after seeing the trailer my worries were put to rest.

I kind of wish they would use the original music score from the original movie. Also I saw Creepshow 3 only one time and it was somewhere over a decade ago since I last watched it, and I remember thinking it was only okay but not as good as the first 2 movies. A lot of people are really making Creepshow 3 to sound extremely bad, and maybe it is, maybe my opinion may change if I watch it again because I was really young back when I watched it only once.

If they make a season 3, two things I'd love to see:
1.An adaption of the short story "Pinfall", a story that was supposed to be in CREEPSHOW 2 but was cut out for budgetary reasons.
2.Actors who were in CREEPSHOW 2 appearing in season 3.
This better be good. This series has a lot to answer for. Creepshow 3 was considered to be one of the single worst sequels of all time for anything. It genuinely stained this series with a bad reputation that this needs to work 4 times as hard to undo. This has a lot of responsibility to save Creepshow riding on it. Please, please, PLEASE don't let me down. Please do not let this suck.

And "Gray Matter." EDIT: "Gray Matter" looks to be a straight-up adaptation of the story, maybe. But remember the movie _The Lawnmower Man?_ It wasn't a straight-up adaptation of the story "The Lawnmower Man." Instead, the events of "The Lawnmower Man," completely stripped of their context in the story, are just kinda shoehorned into that movie. Yeah, Jeff Fahey plays a man, and he mows lawns. And he kills somebody with his lawnmower. There's no fat naked guy, no grass- or gopher-eating, no god Pan. _The Lawnmower Man_ (movie) is more "Flowers for Algernon" than it is "The Lawnmower Man"! It might be the case with "Survivor Type" that the events of that story are just a part of a larger narrative. I hope not. We can't know....till we see the show. But I'm in no matter what. I'm getting Shudder just for this.

Words cannot express how excited I am for this. Creepshow is one of the films that made me want to become a film maker and to see it in a modern age with an amazing crew & cast just makes me so happy!
Now we can all finally forget about the disastrous garbage that was Creepshow 3...

Honestly, I'm really excited for this. CreepShow 1 and 2 are one of my favorite horror movies and now it's becoming a tv series. I'm not into horror stuff these days because they usually turn out to be cliche. I just hope it will be better as the first 2 CreepShow films. I wonder if the series gonna do sequel segments from the originals like The Crate part 2, Father's Day Cake part 2, Swim Back To "The Raft", Return of "the Hitch Hiker" and "The Old Chief Wooden Head" Is Back. (these are some title I made up for the sequel segments) I also wonder will some of the original actors return to make cameos or reprise their roles even their characters have died from the films.
I hope that whenever it shows something scary happening the lighting becomes one color like they did in the original

I really enjoyed Shudder's Creepshow reboot. It was an entertaining horror anthology show, well written, directed and acted. My only reservation was it was all a bit slick and glossy. In fact, it could have done with a lower budget and the grittier touch of George Romero at times. All the stories had some great horror - my favourites were: Gray Matter, The House of the Head and Night of the Paw. But the others were decent too apart from one.

Creepshow was the first real horror film i can remember watching. Got to say after the terrible Shudder Original Critters reboot i am worried. But i'll give it a chance. At least the physical effects on the creep give me a bit of faith.
