- Hey guys! YSL is up to something new - I think it's sister line, but I don't have the dirt on that! I DO have a review of YSL NU Skin Tint. A two-day wear test, with a day or powder products and a day of creams. Three applications - finger, sponge and brush. How's it work on mature skin?

My LE blush did the same, they replaced it and the new bottle exploded out the end again! I wound up cutting the blush open and scraping it into a small sample jar I had with a twist lid. I love the product but won’t be repurchasing unless the packaging is addressed
They suggested that I do the same. I happened to have some jars I got from Amazon (they're awful - the threads are a bit off and they are stackable without a separate lid for each one) and de-potted them (happened to two so far).
I'm stunned I didn't feel it on my hand and kept on going for a while!!
This happened to me, too, and I think many others. I feel bad for Lisa since it seems like she put so much thought into this launch-but I’m guessing (hoping!) she’ll change the packaging.
@@jojobeth I hope you contacted her and let her know. She won't know there's a problem if people don't let her know. The customer service was great - very understanding, professional and helpful. I adore Lisa - she's given so much to us - technique, ideas for looks. I have nothing but good feelings towards her and wish her every success. With our input she can make the changes going forward!

I've always loved YSL fdtns, but they broke my heart with the reformulation of Touche Eclat and the changed shade range. I've never found a better match. The NU Skin Tint is lovely, and I had success applying it with a brush, so as not to disturb my sunscreen. The less I fuss with it, the better it looks, which is great for no-makeup days. Overall, I prefer my KGD Maifanshi Moisture Fdtn. and Chantecaille Future Skin Gel.

Why does a woman my age watch these videos? because I’ve never bought a Beauty magazine in my Life (I always felt that $20 could go to product, & a counter SME could steer me better than a magazine) but damn, if tings aren’t getting away from me, since I emigrated & retired…

My Lisa Eldridge blush has been wonky. The pink poetry separated a bit. The deep pink color clogged. When I finally got some to dispense, it squirted a huge blob out. Thanks for the YSL Nu review! I’ve been considering.
My Pink Poetry was separated when I got it - it was a SUPER hot day and was on the UPS truck all day (my street is the last on our driver's route). So I shook it and massaged it a bit and did the same for the others. So far, they never separated again after that.

At first I thought you were bleeding! But that same thing happened to my Dante’s Dream blush. I squeezed it all into a little empty plastic pot (and they refunded me, too).
LOL - I didn't notice for the longest time - SOOO glad I didn't get it on my shirt!
What is going on with LE blushes… so annoying.. I don’t use mine because if I squeeze too hard is going to explode… I am sure

@@TheHoodedLid Yes, I think it needs addressing. She's a brilliant and lovely MUA and I'm sure she will a) be mortified/stressed this is an issue and b) address the issue - her reputation is at stake - which she will not want to compromise. Such a shame this design fault wasn't identified at the prototype stage
Thank you for the review, can't wait to get my hands on it (not available in EU yet unfortunately). YSL makes my favourite foundation (All Hours) and I used to love their Touche Eclat foundation too (2 reformulations ago lol). Dang, those Lisa Eldridge blushes are a hazard! I am super careful with mine, always hold at the bottom and try to squeeze gently... but if I look under the light, there is around 2 millimeters of the seam left... I feel like one of these days it's gonna happen to me too 😫
Smart to hold at the bottom - I hadn't thought of it. Buy yourself some little plastic jars so you can decant if it does happen!

I might try this skin tint since I’m looking for something to replace my Chanel tinted moisturizer (embellisseur belle mine). How Would you compare the YSL skin tint to the Chanel moisturizer or a Nars moisturizer? 🙏🌸

Well, I’m not sure about this YSL base… I’m not a sponge girl, though I was in the 80s 🤔 before rushes became A Thing For Average Women…
I wear base to cover dark acne pigmentation scarring, the accompanying redness & of course, the aging undereye.
Have you tried using cosmetic remover with muslin cloths, microfibre cloths or Shiseido pads? I have a basket of colour coded terry facecloths. For oil first cleanse: Brown for eyes, Beige for foundation & clay mask removal, with white & pink for second cleanse & mask removal respectively.
I try to keep to one use cloth a day, & it has dramatically helped my lifelong acne issues. I do have some washable cotton pads, but they are a bit of a pain in the ass. They DO a reasonable job when I’m in the mood for them & they have their own wash bag I can use to keep them for the wash.
considering how cheap a pack of reasonable quality facecloths can be, putting them into rotation definitely is an affordable way to go & keeps down the price of buying
I use cotton round with micellar water to remove 90% of my make-up. Then I was with Tatcha oil and I use a muslin cloth in the morning after facial massage.
That skin tint really melded into your skin better than I thought it would when it first went on! Second time I've seen the Surratt 'Chaleur' colour and I'm thinking there is something being communicated to me here .. as in: Annie, buy Chaleur! (even tho I just ordered x2 bushes via Beautylish and I really can't afford to keep ordering stuff, plus there's a finite amount of times I can fob the husband off when a delivery comes, by saying "oh, that's just a deodorant' ) - heck he sees the bank statements!! Unfortunately, I think there's defo a design fault in the E L blushes. I was literally watching another youtuber profiling her blush and the EXACT same thing happened! She's a lovely British MUA and I love her vibe but can't order her stuff until I know packaging issue has been addressed so may end up ordering a Glossier berry blush in the meantime. As A UK based person can't imagine hot, sweaty heat in September however we've had a couple of warm days and can't think how you cope in the intense heat, aside from the fact I guess A/c must be standard? Not in the UK - sadly!! Enjoyed your content , as always. - thank you :)
P.s just a little add on - British based derm - Dr Sam Bunting does not advocate using too much/any powder. Instead she recommends BLOTTING! I have done this and it works really well. I powder when going to 'an event'/when it really counts, but apart from that, blotting is great to mop up oiliness without clogging skin when it isn't necessary to over-burden it. Hope my suggestion isn't out of place :) x
A/C is actually not standard in Los Angeles. In fact, my entire life here, I've only had A/C once and is was wonderful!!!
My shine comes from my skincare and sunscreen, I'm not oily in the least - lol

I just got this today. It's pretty nice but I'm super picky and not sure if I'll keep it yet or not. There's a bit of a sheen to it that I don't personally like. It lasted all day tho! I see you using that by Terry powder a lot. Is it your favourite powder? Do you think it's worth the price?
The By Terry probably is my favorite powder and it lasts for YEARS. It doesn't impart any color, which I really appreciate, and it's not drying.

Those are nasolabial folds. The marionette lines are from the corners of the mouth down. I work in a medical spa and use those terms A LOT. I think they should be called wisdom lines.
