  • Electrophilic substitution: Ring substitution in carboxylic acid:Ring Substitution : Aromatic carboxylic acids undergo electrophilic substitution at meta position `-COOH` group is electron with drawing group and deactivates the ring at ortho and para position.
    The deactivating substituents remove electron density, stabilizes the negative charge of the carboxylate anion, and increasing the acidity of the carboxylic acid. The opposite effect occurs with electron donating substituents.My Playlists :
