Alrighty! I just made a double batch with spinach, sausage & onion, saute'ed mushrooms, mozzarella, and pepperoni. We haven't tasted them yet (still full of molten lava!) but they look and smell wonderful. I will come back and update. Unfortunately, I can not post a photo here :( The guys say they taste great. I think they're pretty good, too. I have a few changes though. I would increase the dough recipe by 1/2 as I had to roll a little too thinly and they still weren't the size pictured. We like a thicker crust. I would also brush with garlic butter instead of egg wash.
I feel like this channel definitely makes people feel that the ingredients they use are to be taken for granted. Not that they aren't rudimentary enough already. It's just that the way things are filmed on this channel makes it seem as though food, in general, is a given.
Yeast is really tricky to work with, keep that in mind. It's a living organism that's easy to kill and fairly picky about what it eats. Make sure you get the exact right yeast the recipe calls for, in this case "instant".

If you ever try to make mini calzone remember: that won't be calzone it will be EMPANADA or in plural EMPANADAS. Just chage the filling with mince hard boiled eggs some olives and a little bit of onion. Just deppending on the size, make mini calzone with the filling i wrote here and you will have empanadas from Argentina! Edit: remember that the dough is thiner😉
