You guys are making the game sound like it completely failed and sucks. It sold well, has a dedicated playerbase, and was always meant to be a free-to-play game with Seasons. Ultimates were something that they decided to include near the end of development, hence why not everyone has one.
Okay, Riptor attempting to disembowel the opponent, missing completely, and going "ah fuck it" and breathing fire on them instead proper cracked me up.
Love how 10% of the comments havent even played this game and are just calling it bland or a MK knock off its a comptitive fighter like any other and at least the took time to make the characters feel fresh being years old and were on a 32 bit console none the less but eh i love this game and the others but at least they didnt pull the same crap as street fighter

With it being on Steam now, it gives all the people saying MK clone more of an opportunity to see for themselves and not just take someone's word for it. es increíble lo completísimo que esta este juego,vi un video donde alguien decía que el juego aun no estaba completo perno estoy deacuerdo la cantidad de personajes,combos,habilidades,personalizacion,escenarios variados,el modo sombra,etc hacen que para mi este juego no solo se sienta completo sino que también tenga mucho contenido de sobra,ademas si bien los ultimates están muy bien y los humilation y ultimates de antaño no regresaron a el juego siento que este no los necesita pues ya es suficiente contenido con los stages ultra,ultimates aunque sean en ciertos personajes y gameplay mucho mejor que los de antaño,sin duda el mejor juego de luchas de la generación pasada.
Me alegro de que alguien más sea capaz de apreciar este juego por todo lo que es. Para ser justos el modelo de temporada dejó un poco que desear para cuando salió por primera vez, pero me aprecié mucho tener modos y personajes salen en olas. Digo, creo que son un tanto secos, a mi en lo personal amo mos finishers por la música el escenario cambia y todo eso, en los ulti hasta quitan el fondo y la mayoría son ataques medio normales y ya :/

Reptiles are a fan of warming sensations. I'm pretty sure King Kai learned it from Jago because he didn't have to ask for energy from anyone. He did it all on his own in record time.
hisako's ultimate looks like the cameraman just witnessed a murder...and when he's about to see if her opponent is really dead she pops out outta nowhere scaring him half to death lol
For an Ultra, each character has a special moveset for performing their own. Like quarter circle forward and all three punch buttons. The opponent needs to be in the danger range of their second life bar in order for it to work. For the Ultimate, you need to be on your first life bar and cancel the Ultra with LK and LP in the first few moments of the Ultra. Hopefully that helps.

It's just like any fighting game. There are the more complex hard to chain ones with certain characters with recaptures, but the basic double to linker is very easy to do. If you can push an attack button after a fireball motion, you can do a combo.
You should definitely give it a try. It's free with a rotating character on xbox. I am not too sure how it works on PC though. It does get a sale pretty regularly, considering it is a Microsoft title. Worth the full price in my opinion.
At least you don't have to have Rage active for this one. Who knows we might actually get a little more over the top Ultimates down the road. Agreed, they do look pretty good :)
YES I KNOW the fatalities should be cheesy and funny and no just brutal like mortal kombat but common in the kl 1 & 2 characters have atleast 1 cheesy or funny Ultimate like orchid flash and the serious Ultimate like spinal and fulgor
The Ultimates came late in season 3 as free content. The support for the game didn't last too much longer after that. The downside of doing things in waves/seasons.
It was an update that you had to go and get a little later into the game's life. So if you weren't following through the forums or social media, it would have been easy to miss.
That would be a tough choice for me to make. Going with a staple character would be a safe bet though. I just feel like everyone has gone through a pretty rough tragedy in this game. It's all kind of dark if you think about it.
Just be glad it has a physical version now. It used to be digital only. If you wanted to go the cheap route though, I do believe it is on game pass still.

You need to push LK and LP together within the first couple of hits of the Ultra to perform the Ultimate. Only certain characters have one. Lastly you need to make sure you download the free DLC to add them to the game. Hopefully that helps.

I understand. Lk is light kick. Lp is light punch. If the controller inputs are default it would be x and a button, but if you are more familiar with ps controller it would be square and x. Push them both at the same time after the first couple hits of the ultra and you should be fine.

It fits...just not all the way :) I had a hard enough time getting the supreme achievement with her. So I cheated and did all of Ultimates against the computer. Keep this secret...forever.
They we're adding Ultimates for characters here and there. It was a free addition way down the road, so I'm assuming time/cost to keep it up. It would have been nice to have them all, but I'm still glad we have some than none.

I feel like if these would have been a thought at the beginning of production done with each character's development, we would have had a lot fewer disappointments. Seeing as this was a free update way down the road, that normally would be a chargeable transaction...I'm pretty happy with most of them. Glad you enjoy the game for more than just Ultimates. :)
It's available outside of just Xbox these days. It also goes on sale relatively frequently, so keep on eye on it. Otherwise high hopes that they have another iteration on the next gen. Wishful thinking.
Thank you for that. Just for clarification though, it's free as part of the play anywhere program. So if you own it on Xbox you can play it for free through Windows 10. Unless there is a sale I am not aware of.
I definitely would have loved to see a lot more going on, but I feel with what they had to work with, they did a great job representing the characters. We got webs...no spiders. It's tough, but not that bad of a compromise.

The best ultimates are Aganos, Tusk, Hisako and Glacius. Thunder's ultimate is wasted potential. Now I'm just waiting for General Raam and the Arbiter to get one.
I actually like Thunder's. More for the headbutt at the beginning, but I get what you mean. I am waiting for General Raam myself, since he is my go to for the Season 3 cast.

No Orchid or Kim Wu Ultimate?
No Spinal, Rash, Arbiter, Gargos, General RAAM, Shin Hisako or Eagle either.
Unfortunately no. They were released in waves as free DLC and we only received a portion of the cast through them.
A shame orchid doesn’t have an ultimate, but old school players may suspect what it might have been 😏

Well I do think Riptor's is the cheesy one of the bunch. It is a more serious tone for the majority though.

Am glad i bought this game used and cheap, cuz it sure feel cheap.
Just be glad it has a physical version now. It used to be digital only. If you wanted to go the cheap route though, I do believe it is on game pass still.

You need to push LK and LP together within the first couple of hits of the Ultra to perform the Ultimate. Only certain characters have one. Lastly you need to make sure you download the free DLC to add them to the game. Hopefully that helps.

I understand. Lk is light kick. Lp is light punch. If the controller inputs are default it would be x and a button, but if you are more familiar with ps controller it would be square and x. Push them both at the same time after the first couple hits of the ultra and you should be fine.

It fits...just not all the way :) I had a hard enough time getting the supreme achievement with her. So I cheated and did all of Ultimates against the computer. Keep this secret...forever.

How come not all the characters get Ultimates? Just feels incomplete. I was really hoping to see what Orchid's would look like
They we're adding Ultimates for characters here and there. It was a free addition way down the road, so I'm assuming time/cost to keep it up. It would have been nice to have them all, but I'm still glad we have some than none.

I love this series as well as this game, but i couldnt have been more disappointed in these ultimates, they didnt feel at all like fatalities
I feel like if these would have been a thought at the beginning of production done with each character's development, we would have had a lot fewer disappointments. Seeing as this was a free update way down the road, that normally would be a chargeable transaction...I'm pretty happy with most of them. Glad you enjoy the game for more than just Ultimates. :)

It's available outside of just Xbox these days. It also goes on sale relatively frequently, so keep on eye on it. Otherwise high hopes that they have another iteration on the next gen. Wishful thinking.

Thank you for that. Just for clarification though, it's free as part of the play anywhere program. So if you own it on Xbox you can play it for free through Windows 10. Unless there is a sale I am not aware of.

I definitely would have loved to see a lot more going on, but I feel with what they had to work with, they did a great job representing the characters. We got webs...no spiders. It's tough, but not that bad of a compromise.

The best ultimates are Aganos, Tusk, Hisako and Glacius. Thunder's ultimate is wasted potential. Now I'm just waiting for General Raam and the Arbiter to get one.
I actually like Thunder's. More for the headbutt at the beginning, but I get what you mean. I am waiting for General Raam myself, since he is my go to for the Season 3 cast.
