In this episode, Dr. Thomas breaks down four types of relationships we must take care of to enhance our walk with God, ourselves, and other people we encounter. Although it feels like God is not present at times, be mindful that even Jesus was feeling forsaken as he approached the cross. Be prepared to receive tangible examples that will change your way of thinking & actions to achieve your purpose God has ordained for you.
5:20 - Draw nearer to God when you feel far away through prayer, worship & execution.
8:20 - Take care of your household first! You will be fit to rule over other things with favor. Pastor Thomas uses taking care of Israel’s House scriptural reference. Stay in order with the Lord to receive maximum results versus partial results.
12:12 - Not having a stream of income isn’t our biggest financial problem, it’s our stewardship of it. You have seeds of ideas that can blossom and grow if you nurture them. James 2:14-26 explains how faith without works is dead!
14:27 - God delivered identity, gifts and character to us before we were formed! But it’s our responsibility to develop those qualities. He formed you in your mothers womb. Jeremiah 1:5 tells us we were formed and chosen for greatness before birth! God has spoken great things over our lives before coming into the world. Lean on to that In moments where confidence & faith are tested. Psalms 139:14 tells us how that qualities we posses, internally an externally, was carefully & thoughtfully designed by God. Your uniqueness is a gift to the world.
22:43 - Stop judging yourself by comparison to others. Stop trying to fit their mold of you so that you can be liked or loved more.
24:39 - Judges 13:1-5 explains that we must develop what God has given us to be successful. You have everything you need in order to do what God has ordained in your life.
You vs You
1. Mature - Fully grow in what your hands touch! Do things exceedingly well from start to finish. Don’t waste anymore days of execution from being tired, not feeling like it or not being committed or dedicated.
2. Advance - Move in purposeful ways. What are you fueling yourself for? How do your actions show what you are praying & believing God for?
3. Elaborating - Carefully arrange & plan your ways. The more detailed orientated you become, the more you can expand your skill set and grow in all areas of your life.
