- I played this at my Grandmother's funeral service when I was 17. I was recently looking for something to record for my Dad on his birthday and thought he might like to hear this again.
I had this at my wedding 46 years ago today. The organise had to learn it specially, bless him. I discovered Mussorsky through ELP
Luv this tune. Long live ELP.
Indeed~ Long live ELP!
A pearl.. A diamond...
Thanks!
best rendition I've heard.
Thanks!
Wonderful my man, everything! Thanks!
Many thanks!
Great pipe organ!
It's a great time to be a keyboardist; it wasn't so easy to get such sounds years ago!
nice!
Thanks!
Do you have the sheet music for this dude? this is great
Thanks. When I discovered and fell in love with Emerson's music around 1986, I started looking everywhere for his music, but alas, there was not a page of it available anywhere. I bought the original Copland music to Rodeo, which included the original Hoedown, but it really is not very close to Emerson's version. About the only thing I could find was the piano music to Pictures at an Exhibition, and so I worked on it and eventually did selections of it in my final piano recital. (The music is now readily available around the web. Try: imslp.org) I had to wait five long years until I made a friend in college who was also an ELP fan and was old enough to have acquired the ELP Black songbook, and fortunately he was willing to part with it. :)
Долой Штолле!
Great playing, but you are making that C3 jealous.
Haha... Yes, I should play some of what comes later on the Hammond.
