    YES!!! Circle Looper's beats per minute sync "close enough" so we can easily hit the looper button and the loop "quantizes" or stops on the bar, or close enough it does NOT hiccup and get further off with each loop cycle (on some Beat Buddy beats ONLY, because Beat Buddy beats get recorded with human drummers, so they too are not as accurate as digital. Who cares? Record the Beat Buddy into the loop! TAKE NOTES OF CIRCLE LOOPER DRUM AND TEMPO for your loops, in case you need to recreate, or move slots. Seems circle looper's software handles the metadat about its beats and tempo, so write things down to edit .WAV loops in Audacity for loudess, EQ, etc. and import new WAV files into the looper. Circle Looper uses 24 bit, and Boss RC-3 uses 16 bit, so pay attention when you edit/export/save or create files exfernally, in Audacity, for example. I love my Circle Looper! I did cover the looper button with a cap to avoid mistakenly hitting it during a step to Stop, which avoids going into Record mode and polluting your backup loop. You cannot clear, or delete, imported loops except through the computer software.

      I have never had good luck with Any looper software. They have a setup you can download. My computer and device aren’t getting along, but it might be my computer, so I chose not to address it in the video on the assumption someone in the CZcams world would have a more definitive answer.

  • @markplimsoll
    @markplimsoll Před 3 lety +2

    Loopers' MAIN PROBLEM = staying synced to a beat. This quantizes to the measure of its internal drummer, BUT WILL IT STAY "SYNCED" to an external drum (BeatBuddy) set to the same bpm? This would fix the obvious problem of mixing drums and guitar together (or add a bass with drum!)

    • @LearningCurveGuitar
      @LearningCurveGuitar  Před 3 lety

      Does any loop stay in synch with an external source? It’s the same reason using 2 loopers doesn’t work, your timing is always going to be off a hair and that gap gets bigger with each loop.

    • @markplimsoll
      @markplimsoll Před 3 lety +2

      @@LearningCurveGuitar With a precice beats per minute, the loop quantizing TO THE BAR (example 4/4) then looper and drums should seem to sync even if your foot press is off a little. Depends on industry standards regarding bpm (are there standards of precision?)

      Hey MrMetalClay. You can change the drum track. How good it sounds, depends on the track you pick. Different tracks accent different things and so some times it will fit great and sometimes not so much. It will not change time signature. The loop is the loop you record. I will illustrate this in Tuesdays video. Hope all is well.

  • @mchristofaro
    @mchristofaro Před rokem

    If I record a clean tone to loop then change the amp to a distorted tone (or any other effect or tone), the loop then goes from clean tone to distorted max. I want to keep the loop clean. Is there a way I can do this? Basically, I want to have the clean loop playing while I jam over it with a distorted tone.

    • @LearningCurveGuitar
      @LearningCurveGuitar  Před rokem

      Yes, but you need to put the pedal in the effects loop. If your amp doesn’t have an fx loop, you might want to try changing your tone using pedals in front of the looper.
