45690 'Leander' Roars Along The GWML On The Essex & Avon Express 23/08/23

Wednesday 23rd August 2023 would see Carnforth based 45690 'Leander' run the Essex & Avon Express from Shoeburyness to Bristol Temple Meads via Southend, Stratford, Willesden, Readin I'llg, Swindon & Bath. We start off just outside Swindon where we see Leander powering away from her water. For the return we headed to Swindon where we see her at full flight on the up main followed by Cholsey in the late evening summer sun.

This loco is working the Cotswold venturer for this weekend but it’s going as far as Gloucester due to the RMT strike as a result it’s not going to Worcester shrub hill at all

A fantastic selection of films my good sir, some cracking displays from the 'Jubilee' en route. I was fortunate enough to get 45690 on film accelerating away from Standish Junction on the outward run; 'Leander' is one that I've longed to see, but never had the chance until now.
