I came here because the study of Amanda Hampton et al about the "effects of music on behavior and physiological stress response of domestic cats in a veterinary clinic" and now just felt in love with this magical sound
I think she did a wonderful job. Her tone was beautiful and complemented the piece, and overall she seemed to blend her sound well with the audience. Emotion comes with time, you can't just 'work on it', it's something that has to bloom inside you and it will come. It's a lot like puberty, it comes at a little different time for everyone, but when it comes your pretty set. Good luck to Anna Grondalska, you are great and you should be proud of yourself! Your on your way to great things :)

her playing is so tenderly done...i have just listened to 3 well known professional cellists, and i like this the best!

Playing high notes so piano with that much expression is really an accomplishment in itself.

Remember playing this 50 years ago. My C string went flat so instead of that wonderful open C string at the end I ended up with an alternative long and satisfying vibrato... :))

Did they run a beauty contest to select players in this orchestra? There are some very pretty people playing beautiful music.
They're the student orchestra at Szymanowski School of Music in Wrocława, a prestigious music school,. Youth and talent create their own glow, but our eyes are just now opening to the people of the former Soviet Union. During the Cold War, we thought they were barely human.
They all look gorgeous to me, I'm even older than I look then, and that means OLD. Ha!
They are not grown up with coca cola etcetera.
Harry Wierenga we drink coca cola in Europe too. We also hamburgers and fries

I can feel the sentiment behind her facial expressions.
I know relying too much on the microphone could create unwanted "brightness", but there were parts where I could barely hear the cello.
