Hi. What do you recommend for a xl rectangle; as far a sleeve ? I usually try a slimmer cut because my shoulders are broad, I have large breasts and arms. I always wear a v shaped neckline. Puff sleeves make arms look bigger and very short sleeves don't work. I tried finding elbowe length sleeves, but they are hard to find. have an athletic body, with no waist. I have Great legs and nice sized rear end. You recommended adding balance with larger sleeves on top and I'm assuming sometime slightly flared on the waist. How do I wear looser sleeves without looking like a linebacker? Thanks in advance.

Gorgeous body type? Broad back hardly any boobs, so can't find a bra to fit, no actual waist so all waistbands for my dress size are too tight, and waist so high its under my armpits, long legs so trousers are too short, and shoulders like a lumberjack. Gorgeous!

Being a more rectangle shape I began to bemoan the fact that some cute longer boxy t-shirts may have to be discarded. But wait -- If I cinch them in at the waist or tuck them in at the front and not at the back, you can get a flattering look by altering the hem line shape with belts or tucking or??? So am keeping them knowing how they will now look best on me! Thank you

I am rectangle, petite, skinny and i feel that V necks are a huge no no. It highlights my small chest. High-neck or rectangle cut is wonderful tho. It doesn't make sense but true. When it comes to pants or dresses i can wear almost anything. It is the neckline made me struggle for many years.

I find the puffed sleeves very tricky as a rectangle. I love the look so I own several - but I need to be the perfect weight to pull them off! 😬 With a little bit of extra weight the puffed sleeves make me look like a bodybuilder with huge shoulders and biceps. And if I’m a bit under my perfect weight, I drown in the puffed sleeves and look like a stick! Not a cute look! 😅 (I’m a petite rectangle with short legs. My weight has fluxuated and I have been both underweight and overweight - and I never get curves, I’m always just a bigger or a smaller rectangle. 😅)

I dont know that fittet sleeves where a problem. In winter season i like it sometimes, especially to wear under a Blazer/coat but in summer i hate it. The Sleeves have at least to be loose for me. And i hate Spaghetti Straps... Have some .. to wear under things or with a jacket but only 2-3 which i really like

I have fallen down a rabbit hole of my color palette and then my body shape and this video was very helpful. It kinda sucks that I don't have a lot in my closet and learning about all this stuff makes me realize what little I have still in my closet that doesn't work. I also don't have a lot of money at the moment so if I wanna change this, thrifting is the way to go lol. Definitely not an emergency but I'd like to feel nice in the things I wear :)
Be creative! after you've learned all this stuff, go through your closet and figure out what changes you have to make to your clothing. it might be as slight as adding a ruffle trim (yeah, take your to a sewing shop that has trimmings etc.) to the shoulder area, it might be taking a long straight tunic and synching it in at the waist by adding a nice ribbon to draw the eye to your thinnest spot and make you look more feminine. etc. find a good seamstress and your all set. it won't cost a lot, u'll be surprised.
Lol heyy, my measurements say I'm an hourglass too but due to how slim I am, I kinda look like a rectangle since I don't have the super obvious curves (I have boobs and a noticeable ass but they're not crazy large so)
I never realised that I shouldn’t wear close fitting sleeves but have always been self conscious of my long arms. I will make sure I buy clothes with more voluminous sleeves in future. Thanks
Same i have slim long arms so a slim fit turtleneck looks flattering on me although i’m a rectangle, I style the slim fit turtleneck with high waisted trousers to accentuate the S line and break the boxy look, i’m overall a petite girl so tight fitted sleeves make me look even more delicate! You can wear tight fitted sleeves you just have to pair them with the right neckline and the bottom trousers/skirt should be high waisted! One of my go to looks in winter is a tight slim fit turtleneck with fitted sleeves combined with a high waisted straight leg trousers which elongate my silhouette making me appear taller. I have a similar body to audrey hepburn and with the right styling it looks amazing :))

I think so! I actually think loosely fitted stuff tucked in at the waist looks really good, for me at least
