I am very excited to share with you the unique and exciting food experiences I had in Karachi!
From Nalli Biryani with cow bone marrow at the Ghousia Nalli Biryani restaurant, which comes with fascinating cooking techniques, to Fish Katakat at Masha Allah Fish Katakat restaurant, prepared with a loud racket and spices, rice, and fish, and Panipuri or Gol gappa, which are hollow dough balls, Lahori Chargha, perfectly fried chickens in oil, and Karachi Haleem and the famous Pakistani Zarda which all left me with a sweet experience. Of course, my accommodation at Dreamworld Resort in Karachi, with its spectacular view, greatly amplified my
enjoyment of this city. I am deeply grateful for them.
All the dishes I tried on my trip to Karachi, Pakistan are these:
Nali Biryani with beef bone marrow :
We came to Ghousia Nalli Biryani restaurant to try this famous dish in Karachi. They have lots of customers constantly ordering Nalli Biryani. The Biryani comes with beef meat and bone marrows, plenty of bone marrows with a unique filling! The rapid and interesting movements of the chef are truly great. These cool actions are the first things that ramp up your excitement to eat Nalli Biryani! Now it's our turn to try this unique combination, an exceptional blend that you just can't resist eating.
Fish Katakat, the famous seafood dish:
We visited Masha Allah Fish Katakat restaurant in Karachi, which has been around since 1965, and they serve Fish Katakat, a famous seafood dish in Karachi, with much fanfare and noise, which is quite interesting! The way they prepare this dish is cool, they sprinkle garam masala over the mix of fish and rice, and then they crush the fish along with the rice and garam masala on heat. Served with a special chutney, local bread, and onions, it's fantastic.
Panipuri or Golgappa:
Panipuri or Golgappa is a very famous street food in Karachi. They are actually hollow dough balls that also contain chickpeas, they pour chutney and some yogurt on them. There is also a spicy water to dip the Panipuri or Golgappa into before eating, which I must say, is truly delicious.
Lahori Chargha:
Lahori Chargha, chickens immersed in very hot oil, is a famous Pakistani dish in Karachi. They deeply fry the chickens in very hot oil, then they cut the chicken into four pieces and sprinkle masala on them with fresh lime. We take the local bread and put the Lahori Chargha inside, pour some fresh lime again, put some Raita (famous Pakistani yogurt) inside the bread, and it turns into a magnificent bite! It's extraordinarily tasty.
Karachi Haleem and famous Pakistani Zarda:
Karachi Haleem, a traditional dish consisting of beef mixed with lentils, wheat, and barley in Karachi, Pakistan, is a very spicy and popular food. It is prepared in special pots, and when served, hot onions and green chili with masala are put on it with fresh lime, which is unique. We also have the famous Pakistani Zarda, a combination of a kind of yellow rice with cardamom on it, which is very sweet and delicious.
My trip to Karachi was a truly exciting experience for me, both in terms of food experiences and the vibe I got from the people and the city. The locals are very energetic, and this high energy is felt throughout the city, giving me a unique feeling. I hope you also like this video and stay tuned for more.
