    I am a beginner. I purchased p-225 on 1st March 2024,after researching on various models. Learning Scales.

    The biggest difference is in the piano sounds. The others, E piano, CL/Vibe, Organ, Strings, etc are idential between the two models. I had both home side by side and returned the 125. The 125 sounds good but sounds like an electric piano! The 225 is MUCH warmer in the Grand Piano sounds. **BUT HERE IS A PRO-TIP...
    One the 225, if you hold down the piano selector button, if you them pr the highest octave C, not only will the touch become a bit lighter, but BRIGHTER AS WELL.** The Piano/high D will give a heavier touch and warmer sound. That trick will, also apply to the other voices throughout, but to a lesser effect. My selection of the 225 was confirmed when I had a chance a few days ago to play a Yamaha acoustic grand piano. If you're a novice like me you'll perceive the action to be pretty similar to a real grand. If you're a pro, probably not so much. But the sounds in the CZcams recording are pretty close if you listen on headphones or good monitors.

      I love both! 😇 I have p125 and it sound very good. P225 sound good also, I think more balanced in the dynamics expression

    I have a P125, and from what I could see watching this video with an Alesis reference monitor, many sound samples are the same in both models, but with a different equalization, with the exception of the Piano timbre which sounded different, I even think than by the new key mechanism and VRM for resonance.

      The piano sounds are smoother and deeper in term of dynamics, also E.Piano sounds better Imho

      They do sound similar unless there was 10,000 dollars the difference might as well go the cheaper one. Or the one that has better inputs and output technology cables Bluetooth etc

    They both sound amazingly good. Seems the 225 has a somewhat less bright, more subtle but also richer sound. But they both sound great. So how do the actions compare? Is the new compact GHS any better? I've tried the original GHS on the P45 and was not impressed.

    • @anthonypanebianco22
      @anthonypanebianco22  Před 10 měsíci +5

      New GHC is less noisy, smoothly and best dynamics feeling than GHS especially the ones on P45 (the entry level) this new one sounds better! ;) p225 is great!!!

      I thought exactly the same about GHS after trying a P-45 next to my P-255, for several days. There was no way I could play rapid arpeggios on the P-45. But then, I tried a P-45 next to a P-121. Both have GHS, but there was a perceptible difference. This was enough to persuade me to buy a P-121 (same as P-125, but fewer keys) as my travel piano. No regrets! In fact, I will use it on all of the easier gigs to save lugging something heavier (and too long) about.

      @@Zoco101 Thanks, P121 has been on my list too, but it's now discontinued. Hopefully Yamaha will release a P221. Regarding the GHS on P45 I guess it's maybe a cheaper version. Unfortunately I don't have access to a P125 or P225 to compare. I would never buy the P45 because of the keybed, but if the more expensive versions have a better GHS it would be an option.

    A question, which piano sounds louder? I love sounds of both pianos, I see that Yamaha P125 has small speakers...but it sounds as louder as the P225?

    I'm curious about the connections because the P-125 is pressed right up against the P-225, and this all seems to be recorded by lineout. How did the cables fit?
    Actually, it would have been good to confirm the recording method.
    In this demo the P-225 does sound nicer to me. I know that the P-125 Grand Piano tone is sometimes described as brighter or less warm than those on some other dps, but it does have four CF grand piano sounds. For this type of music on the P-125 I would probably select the more closed and intimate piano sound (variation 2 out of 0,1,2,3) and this is equivalent to the "GP3 classic piano" on some earlier Yamaha models also featuring CF samples.

      Same cables for L&R instruments and same audio card, direct to Logic Pro X. No editing. Real playing, no overdub. Just replace the audio camera from the video.
      P225 sound smoother and nice, with more dynamics in the pianissimo, also the keybed is less noisy and more calibrate.

    • @anthonypanebianco22

      I use two different keyboard stands so the cable connections are safe and hidden from the camera 🎥

    Good comparison. Usually the CFX is quite bright, but in the 225 it has a much more mellow tone, which I would prefer. Are these sounds from each keyboard recorded from line outs or from speakers?

    • @Zoco101
      @Zoco101 Před 5 měsíci

      White is good. It hides the scratches better, and doesn't fade. But I wouldn't pay extra money over colour, not in a budget piano. My P-121 is black because that was cheaper. My P-255 is white because it was the same price for white.

    Si eres principiante, tus oídos probablemente no van a notar la diferencia, así que ve por el que cumpla con tus expectativas en cuanto a diseño y precio. yo diría que el P 125 tiene mejor acción y tenerlos altavoces apuntando hacia delante. Son una ventaja en cuanto a la calidad de sonido
