'05 with manual assist can go faster than you would ever expect. Great little SUV for fun.
Thats impressive. Im also impressed with the engine sound. Has more character to it than a lot of four cylinder petrol engines these days. Im in the motor trade, and had the use of a new Sportage recently with the lower BHP 1.6 with manual box and even that sounded good, and although you had to use the gears often when in hilly areas, it was a pleasure to drive and found it had perfectly adequate power. If engines sound nice, I dont need a turbo on them. Im from the old school of thought when most cars back in the day didn't have turbos anyway, and I like the more linear acceleration of NA engines. Might add this to my list as a possible next car for long term ownership though. Update - had this version for a day and its got plenty of power and surprisingly refined at speed with no wind noise or anything.
People are hating on this car and making fake videos of it losing from civic and grande like bro srsly get yourself checked . Corolla hits 100 in 8.6 second and this car hits 100 at 7.5 .

@Saad Asif The intro says 1.6 tgdi with the 7 speed dct. Still impressive if that's the 2 l ~250 hp engine, but I think that's only available in the US.

Hi, thx for the video. I am just wondering why it didn't go up to 6th or 7th gear at, let's say, around 195 km/h or at the limit while the car wasn't accelerating anymore?
Because the driving is using Sport Matic which makes the car switch to manual gears. It’s the driver who is not shifting the gear

@@hasnainhamdani572 not really true, sport mode only rev engine more than normal mode (nothing to do with manual or automat shifts), shifts are also automat; but, if driver wants it cand switch to manual mode shift and use it in sport or normal mode; in this video car is in sport mode but automat shift (u can see in dashboard D1/2/3/4/5 ..., in manual mode u will see only 1/2/3/4 ...)
He also kept the pedal to the floor, preventing to shift,as soon as he ease off the acceleration the gearbox shifts to 6 and 7
What the hell!! It’s so damn fast!!!. Please can you tell me how did you do the first part 0-140 km/h. I mean did you use manual gears. And how did you first made the rpm go up and then the car started to run

see my reply above, he used sport mode with ESP off and automat shift, but he stepped full gas pedal so shifts are happening at max. 6000 rpm, i dont think a manual shift will improve time but surely it can harm it if u dont know when to shift
My 2019 GT Line S is faster that my old C 180 Mercedes Kommpresor. If I put the car in to Sport mode and leave it in auto it Will give the same result as the video.

Better off paying for the AWD version, which is what id do simply because you have all you need for any road and weather condition.
@@oddities-whatnot just get winter tyres. AWD gives you better acceleration, not better steering and braking. Winter tires give you more acceleration, more cornering ability and better braking. AWD and winter tyres gives you more acceleration on top of that. But is more acceleration really your concern in winter conditions? Unless you are at the very limit of grip AWD won't do anything for you and under those conditions you can't brake or steer with any reasonable effectiveness so what good does it do you to be able to accelerate.
AWD with a lockable rear dif that locks it in 4X4 up to a speed of around 30 kilometers. The system believes that if you can drive at 30k then you don't need to be in 4X4.
