I came to know about Thumri Dadra and Kajri around 1988 during my Childhood itself.On Hearing for the First time my attention went towards the voice and the Rthym. Then I came to know that it was Sung by Begum Akhtar. Later on I came to know that Shobha Gurtu and Lakshmi Narayan and Nirmala Devi are few who are expert in it. Today I m 43 Years of Age and still I m an Avid Fan of Thumri Dadra and Kajri. I feel these 3 Genres of Indian Classical Music are the Best Romantic Form of Music.
